PICK | TEAM | PLAYER | ANALYSIS |
1.01 | | WR Mike Evans | No surprise here, everyone knows this one. Evans is an absolute stud. 6’5” with potentially 99 ACC and 99 SPD, with an additional 93+ AGI. He will smoke every secondary player in the league. Monster. |
1.02 | | QB Derek Carr | The Patriots traded up with the sole reason to make sure to get him. For me, he is too old. 24 meaning he has 6 seasons until regression and currently he has 90 THP. I know the league is high on him, but not me. He is probably the best QB, but... |
1.03 | | LT Taylor Lwan | The best OL goes out here. I know most of you think Jake M. is better. Lewan is one of the linemen who has the highest ACC with 81. For me, that is decisive over Matthews who “only” has 77. Less technical with the same age. He has more potential to overgrow him. |
1.04 | | LE Demarcus Lawrence | I know I know, Clowney is better etc., but hear me out. Clowney’s upside is his size, other than that Lawrence is better in every other metric. I picked the more athletic guy. He has 9 points over Clowney in athletic attributes. Lawrence is my clear pick here. |
1.05 | | LT Jake Matthews | There are some big holes in that Seahawks OL and Matthews is the best OL, maybe the best player at this point. |
1.06 | | WR Kelvin Benjamin | Titans just got 2 secondary players, so I don’t believe they will go for Fuller here, although it has high probability still. I know Apollo likes his passing game and having a lot of good WRs is never bad. His WR core is young and solid, but Benjamin is 6’5” with 93 ACC and 95 SPD. Not sure if he would pass on that. |
1.07 | | CB Kyle Fuller | I can see the first trade down here and pick up LT Britt middle of the round. Fuller is one of the best players left and he would further solidify the CB core Indy has. |
1.08 | | LE Jadeveon Clowney | The Falcons has 4 players at RE, but none of them starter material. Clowney would be an excellent pick here. He is only 21. |
1.09 | | CB Justin Gilbert | I believe picking S Dowling would be a slight reach when you have Gilbert on the board. The Seahawks have 2 young and one aging CB who could be a mentor from next year, slowly fading out of the team. Gilbert is 6 foot with 95
ACC and 93 SPD. His secondary skills (in my evaluation) are high as well, 70 CTH and 70 TAK. |
1.10 | | QB Teddy Bridgewater | With a kind skew he can be an absolute steal. He already has 97 THA. If his THP reaches 91-92 he can turn out to be a better player than Carr who is already 23. |
1.11 | | WR Kevin Norwood | I can see a trade down here as Lawrence will not be available at this point. Sorry, Will. I can see a WR here and Norwood is really good. He can easily be a 99-99-99 when it comes to ACC, SPD, and AGI. He is also one of the smartest receivers of the draft with 59 AWR. |
1.12 | | CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste | I see a CB coming here as well. Baptiste is with his height being 6’2”. He is athletic also 94 SPD, 94 ACC, and 89 AGI. His 61 AWR is quite high also |
1.13 | | SS Jonathan Dowling | Yes, the Brownies need a CB. I think they will go for the best safety instead. Eric Thomas is old and slow. Dowling can start from year 1. 6’3” SS with over 90 SPD and ACC. Come on. Easy pick. |
1.14 | | WR Jarvis Landry | I agree with Will. Landry will be the pick as the best WR, maybe even the BPA at this point. |
1.15 | | CB Pierre Desir | The Cowboys just traded for a HB, so although Hyde might be a really solid pick, a steal even, they will go for a CB. Desir is 6’1” with crazy athletic skills. He is not too smart (49 AWR), but only 21 years of age. He has time to develop. |
1.16 | | ROLB Marcus Smith | The Redskins need potentially 2 starters OLB, depending of their FA activity. Marcus smith is the best LB of the draft, this is his place to be drafted. |
