PICK | TEAM | PLAYER | ANALYSIS |
1.01 | | WR Mike Evans | No change here. We all know this one. Just a reminder: Evans is absolute stud. 6’5” with potentially 99 ACC and 99 SPD, with an additional 93+ AGI. |
1.02 | | QB Derek Carr | The Pats signed a mentor from FA. That fact combined with the trade up to this place makes this pick a sure thing. |
1.03 | | LT Taylor Lewan | The pick stays the same. Lewan is the best lineman who has the highest ACC with 81. He is only a slightly better than Matthews. |
1.04 | | WR Kelvin Benjamin | I changed the pick to the second best WR, I think it makes more sense after the FA. He is also 6’5” with 93 ACC, 95 SPD. He is not as smart as Evans and his hands are worst as well. |
1.05 | | LE Demarcus Lawrence | This pick has to be a DE. Lawrence is better than Clowney in my metrics. Faster, stronger, smarter. No question for me. |
1.06 | | LE Jadeveon Clowney | The Titans needs a DE. Clowney can be the perfect pick here. Or Lawrence depending how people evaluate the players. Both of them can be top 10 picks. |
1.07 | | CB Kyle Fuller | You can lock this one in as well. Fuller is the most athletic CB with an above average AWR. It is well documented that the Packers needs and want a CB. Why not get the best? |
1.08 | | WR Kevin Norwood | The Falcons brought a starter DE in I changed this pick from Clowney. Norwood has similar athletic abilities like Evans, just shorter and more raw. Still a good pick, hopefully the INJ rating will not matter much during his career. He can easily be a 99-99-99 when it comes to ACC, SPD,AGI. |
1.09 | | LT Jake Matthews | Originally I predicted CB Gilbert here, but now I feel Matthews can be a better pick. At 1.09 this OL would be a really good pick for the Seahawks who has some holes in that front line. |
1.10 | | CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste | It was between him and Gilbert. I chose Baptiste because of the unique size. 6’2” with 94 SPD and 94 ACC, with a potential 90+AGI is pretty awesome. |
1.11 | | SS Jonathan Downing | Not a secret that Will can trade down from here. If he is keeping the pick, Downing could ft right in, as the Charges does not have a starter quality SS currently. I love this dude. 6’2” with 90+ SPD, ACC, AGI. Pretty solid if you ask me. |
1.12 | | CB Justin Gilbert | CB for the Raiders. Gilbert is the best left. Only 21 years old, very athletic, very smart. I like him here. |
1.13 | | CB Pierre Desir | Downing was the pick in my previous mock, but things changed. The Browns still need a CB and this time around I’m projecting one for them. Desir is 6’1” with crazy athetical skills. He is not too smart (49 AWR), but only 21 years of age. He has time to develop. |
1.14 | | WR Jarvis Landry | This is a really consistent pick here. Landry can be 99-99-99 as well. Who would not love that? |
1.15 | | WR Cody Latimer | The Cowboys signed two CBs from FA, this pick now is not projected to be a CB. I can see a WR going out here. Latimer is really nice. Young and athletic. Raw talent. Low AWR and lower CTH than the top tier. 6’3” with 95 ACC, 95 SPD and 95 AGI can wreak havoc. |
1.16 | | ROLB Marcus Smith | The Redskins did not pick up starter OLB from the FA, so this pick stays the same. Marcus Smith will be one of the starter OLBs for them. |
>1.17 | | HB Jeremy Hill | I have no idea. Like not at all. I can see a trade down as the Jets are ready. The BPA at this point can be Hill, who is the best HB of the draft in my opinion. I like his 78 STR the most. I love my HBs as strong as possible. If they are near or slightly above 90 in SPD and ACC, that’s a solid HB. |
1.18 | | CB Dontae Johnson | I can see the Vikings going for a WR or CB here. I decided that Johnson would be the best pick here. Really, really fast 6’2” dude. I don’t think Neal would be disappointed with him here. |
1.19 | | QB Teddy Bridgewater | If my other targets are gone, I might go for Teddy. Thigpen turned 30 so he could mentor him for 1-2 seasons. One year younger than Carr, he has time to develop. |
1.20 | | LT Justin Britt | I can see the Vikings going for the best OL left. He also possibly a BPA at this point. Tons of upside, only his ACC can be worrying in case of an unlucky skew. |
1.21 | | DE Dee Ford | It looks like the Chargers needs a DE. Ford is still really good. He is slightly smaller than the 2 other DEs picked before him, but not by much. His AGI slightly concerning, still can be close to 75 even this year. Which is the threshold for me. |
1.22 | | WR Martavis Bryant | The Bears is a well built team, did not really find a weakness. Bryant is a solid WR. He has the size 6’4”, with 99 ACC,90+ SPD and AGI. At this point you need to compromise. In this case is the AWR and if you like or care about JMP. I know I don’t. |
1.23 | | CB Antone Exum Jr. | Fun fact: The average draft position for him is 1.23. The Bears can use him. He is 6’1” with 95 ACC and 91 SPD. Also one of the strongest CBs which I really like. |
1.24 | | CB Walt Aikens | The Steelers needs a CB and a WR. Aikens can be a good pick. Physically really solid. His 48 AWR is the reason he is predicted here. |
1.25 | | RT Joel Bitonio | Yes, I think the Titans is taking another OL. Bitonio has 79 ACC which is LOVELY. Nothing is really missing from him, but he is 23. That’s why he is picked here only. |
1.26 | | MLB Prince Shembo | Shembo is really good value here. I don’t think the Panthers would mind picking him up. SPD, ACC are almost in the 90s. Really solid player. |
1.27 | | WR Donte Moncrief | Wow he is still in there? Yep. This would be a still here. There are many solid players before him, but won’t slide no more. His AWR needs time, otherwise a really good WR. |
1.28 | | LT Billy Turner | There are many capable OL in this draft class. I can see this pick be a BPA, not sure who is that at this point. OL is something the Colts can use. His SPD is only 58 which makes him a lot slower than some of the front line players before him. Still I think it would be a good pick. |
1.29 | | HB Carlos Hyde | Okay, I have no idea why the Titans have sooo many picks, but I would love to have this many options. I just picked a player here, who is still 1st round quality. I can see a trade out here if someone is desperate on draft day. |
1.30 | | LT Mitchell Van Dyk | No idea what so ever. The 49ers are ready to compete. That being said one of the players I like is Van Dyk. He has the size and ACC, STR, AGI to be solid. He has to be a 1st rounder. |
1.31 | | LG Trai Turner | I am suffering with these picks. Again, no idea. Sorry guys. I picked Turner because really likeable, 1st round talent. He is raw, but only 20 years old. Plenty of time to develop him. |
1.32 | | ROLB Khalil Mack | Another player that can be picked in the 1st round. 82 TAK as a rookie. Wow. Has to be picked. |
