2016 SFL MOCK DRAFT V2.0
1.1- Tennessee Titans- RB Derrick Henry- Alabama
He's the top prospect on my board and probably many boards, Apolo has had a man crush on him since birth and has already stated he's taking him. He is the type of back to run through you or over you and sometimes around you then through you while being over you.
1.2- Tennessee Titans- CB T.J. Green- Clemson
Again, nothing has changed here, Green is an absolute beast at corner, 6'3" with 99 SPD/ 99 AGI/ 99 ACC capability is impossible to pass up.
1.3- Detroit Lions- CB James Bradberry- Samford
I think Bradberry is too good to pass up here, he's 6'1" with a chance at 99 SPD/ 99 AGI/ 99 ACC, it would be too much of a risk losing him to TB who picks right after them. Not only does Bradberry have unreal athletic ability but already comes with 61 football IQ and elite JMP ability, the rest he can work on.
1.4- Tampa Bay Buccaneers- WR Michael Thomas- Ohio State
I thinking Bryan mellon is pimping Ezekiel Elliott way too hard, seems more like a smokescreen to me. I think WR Michael Thomas would be a perfect fit pairing Taylor Price with another potential 99 SPD/99 AGI/99 ACC WR seems way too hard to pass up here and by far the best WR in this class.
1.5- Detroit Lions- RB Ezekiel Elliott- Ohio State
The Lions coming out with both Bradberry and Zeke here, they have to be feeling pretty good about how things have fallen. he isn't the biggest back but has plenty of power, very athletic, his CAR will need work but already above average BTK makes up for the below average CAR.
1.6- Kansas City Chiefs- RT Ronnie Stanley- Notre Dame
The Chiefs get a dominant OL for years to come, Stanley blends power with versatility, able to handle both speed and bull rushers alike with quick feet and brute STR, already comes with above average football IQ and borderline elite run and pass blocking skills.
1.7- Pittsburgh Steelers- RT Laremy Tunsil- Ole Miss
This has to be an option for the Steelers, you have to protect your main weapon which right now is Andre Woodson. Tunsil is 1A or 1B on most boards, I have no clue what way these players skew but I think they'll both be dominant studs along the OL for 10+ seasons. Tunsil already bring great size, above average STR, he has some of the quickest feet in the draft, not as football ready as Stanley which is why he goes a few picks before him but he's already an elite blocker in both the run and pass game and he hasn't even touched the grass yet.
1.8- New Orleans Saints- QB Jared Goff- California
Saints could go a bunch of different ways here but I think Goff is the best QB in this class, he's young, decent arm, great starting AWR, he's big , he has all the tools you look for in a franchise QB. The Saints were always my darkhorse pick for Goff but I think out of the gate he's probably equal to or better than Stanzi.
1.9- Pittsburgh Steelers- RB Jordan Howard- Indiana
I think the Steelers need to shed McFaddens contract to free up some room to be able to sign these guys. Howard gives them the ability to do that. He's a big back, plenty of power to mow right through you and plenty of athletic ability to run right by you also.
1.10- San Diego Chargers- FS Deiondre Hall- Northern Iowa
Hall fits a definite need, is a big bodied defensive back with athletic ability to run with all the big time TE's as well as cover in the flat, his Tackling is top noth and has elite JMP as well, I like Hall here for the Bolts.
