Mellon’s Round 2 Attempted Mock
So, as I was doing this I have to say, doing a 2nd round mock draft is MUCH more difficult than I had ever imagined. I decided to group players that I thought could earn a look in round 2 together by positions and list the good and the not so good attributes. My thought process was this: Even if my mock is wrong, which I 100% expect it to be, if someone was looking for a fast WR they could at least go to the WR group and see who is fast and has enough talent, according to a fellow GM (me) that it worth a look and maybe a selection here in the 2nd round.

QB’s
Cody Kessler- 22 years old, USC
The Good: 62 SPD (not a scrambler), 56 AWR, 92 THP, 88 THA
The Bad: Height of 6’1” as some GM’s will only draft tall QB’s. Kessler looks to me like he is a QB who flew under the radar. If you are a team who has a mentor QB, Kessler looks like he could be a solid pick.

RB’s
CJ Ham- 22 years old, Austin Peay
The Good: 93 SPD, 73 STR, 94 AGI, 97 ACC, 81 CTH, 250 #
The Bad: I do not think there is anything wrong with Ham at all. I believe several GM’s expected him to be drafted in the 1st round. I expect him to be drafted early in the 2nd round.

CJ Prosise- 23 years old, Notre Dame
The Good: 95 SPD, 71 STR, 92 AGI, 220 #
The Bad: 91 ACC means he could end up sub 90 ACC, age of 23

Daniel Lasco- 23 years old, Texas A&M
The Good: 92 SPD, 99 AGI, 99 ACC
The Bad: 47 STR, 64 BTK, age of 23

TE’s
Tyler Higbee- 22 years old, Western Kentucky
The Good: 84 SPD, 82 AGI, 84 ACC, 76 CTH, Height of 6’6”
The Bad: 46 AWR

Austin Hooper- 21 years old, Stanford
The Good: Age of 21, 87 SPD, 85AGI, 81 CTH
The Bad: 69 STR, Heights of just 6’3”

WR’s- Note: For all the talk of this being a very weak WR class, which I was one of the ones who said it, after looking at the existing WR’s I do not think the class was bad, it just had more players who were 2nd-3rd round talents. There are still many good WR’s left, in my opinion.

Tyler Boyd- 23 years old, Pittsburg
The Good: 95 SPD, 65 STR, 92 AGI, 79 CTH, 93 JMP, Height of 6’2”
The Bad: 91 ACC could end up sub 90, age of 23

Devin Lucien- 23 years old, Arizona State
The Good: 95 SPD, 95 AGI, 97 ACC
The Bad: 72 CTH, 83 JMP, age of 23

Pharoh Cooper- 22 years old, South Carolina
The Good: 75 AWR, 94 SPD, 97 AGI, 94 ACC, 77 CTH
The Bad: Height of 5’11”, 75 JMP

Josh Doctson- 23 years old, Texas Christian
The Good: 93 SPD, 92 AGI, 95 ACC, 82 CTH, Height of 6’2”
The Bad: age of 23, 83 JMP

Tyreek Hill- 23 year s old, West Carolina
The Good: 99 SPD, 94 AGI, 96 ACC, 77 CTH, 96 JMP
The Bad: Height of 5’10”, age of 23

Braxton Miller- 23 years old, THE Ohio State University
The Good: 93 SPD, 67 STR, 95 ACC, 78 CTH, 91 THP, 79 THA- Look I do not know in what setting Miller could throw but there are a couple WR’s in out league that have passing stats.
The Bad: 90 AGI could result in sub 90, age of 23

Chris Moore- 23 years old, Cincinnati
The Good: 96 SPD, 92 AGI, 92 ACC, 78 CTH
The Bad: age of 23

Demarcus Robinson- 22 years old, Florida
The Good: 94 SPD, 97 AGI, 96 ACC, 76 CTH
The Bad: 46 AWR, so he’s pretty fast and agile but not smart

OG’s
Cody Whitehair- 23 years old, Kansas Sate
The Good: 66 SPD, 99 STR, 74 AGI, 79 ACC, 88 PBK, 89 RBK, 59 AWR
The Bad: I do not think there is anything bad with him, unless it is his age of 23. His 59 AWR is good for a rookie and he could skew out with 90 in both blocking categories. I expect for Whitehair to be taken early in the 2nd round.

Joe Thuney- 23 years old, North Carolina State
The Good: 63 SPD, 93 STR, 71 AGI, 79 ACC, 87 PBK, 85 RBK
The Bad: Similar to Whitehair, I do not think there is anything really wrong with Thuney.

Donavon Clark- 23 years old, Michigan State
The Good: 65 SPD, 99 STR, 77 AGI, 82 ACC
The Bad: 79 PBK, 80 RBK, 50 AWR, age of 23- I realize this guy has blocking skills of 80 but I am starting to slowly think blocking stats are overrated and as long as they are in the 70’s you should be good.

OT’s
Le’ Raven Clark- 23 years old, Texas Tech
The Good: 64 SPD, 96 STR, 59 AWR, 74 ACC, 89 PBK, 86 RBK
The Bad: 61 AGI, age of 23

Jacks Conklin- 23 years old, Michigan State
The Good: 69 SPD, 98 STR, 77 AGI, 83 PBK
The Bad: age of 23, 69 ACC

Germain Ifedi- 23 years old, Texas A&M
The Good: 64 SPD, 98 STR, 73 AGI, 76 CC
The Bad: age of 23- I like Ifedi quite a bit so I expect to to get drafted no worse than midway through the second round.

Alex Lewis- 22 years old, Nebraska
The Good: 66 SPD, 99 STR, 75 AGI, 74 ACC, 87 RBK, 84 PBK
The Bad: I do not really think there is one. I expect for Lewis to be among he early ones to be drafted in round 2.

Spencer Drango- 22 years old, Baylor
The Good: 65 SPD, 99 STr, 75 AGI, 79 ACC, 86 RBK
The Bad: There really isn’t a one. I think he would make a pretty good OT.

John Theus23 years old, Georgia
The Good: 68 SPD, 99 STR, 80 AGI, 75 ACC
The Bad: age of 23

DT’s
Adam Gotsis- 23 years old, Georgia Tech
The Good: 70 SPD, 95 STR, 78 AGI
The Bad: age of 23, Weight of 288 #

Adolphus Washington- 22 years old, THE Ohio State University
The Good: 94 STR, 74 AGI
The Bad: Height of 6’3” might be a tad too short for some GM’s

DE’s
Anthony Zettel- 23 years old, Penn State
The Good: 82 SPD, 81 AGI, 87 ACC
The Bad: age of 23, 67 STR, 65 TAK

Bronson Kaufusi- 23 years old, Brigham Young University
The Good:The Good: 80 SPD, 82 AGI, Height of 6’6”, Weight of 285 #
The Bad: age of 23, 70 TAK

Dean Lowry- 22 years old, Northwestern
The Good: 81 SPD, 79 AGI, 79 ACC, Height of 6”6”, Weight of 296 #
The Bad: 49 AWR
Carl Nassib- 22 years old, Penn State
The Good: 82 STR, 81 AGI, 6’6”
The Bad: 68 TAK

Matthew Judon- 24 years old, Grand Valley State
The Good: 84 SPD, 79 AGI, 86 ACC
The Bad: age of 24, 65 STR, 67 TAK

OLB’s
Cory James- 22 years old, Colorado State
The Good: 85 SPD, 80 STR, 84 AGI, 85 ACC
The Bad: 49 AWR

Travor Bates- 23 years old, Maine
The Good: 86 SPD, 78 STR, 84 ACC
The Bad: 53 AWR, 80 AGI, age of 23

Cory Littleton- 23 years old, Washington
The Good: 84 SPD, 83 STR, 85 ACC, 80 TAK, Height of 6’3”
The Bad: age of 23, 60 AWR

Kamalei Correa- 22 years old, Boise State
The Good: 86 SPD, 79 STR, 83 AGI
The Bad: 57 AWR

Jordan Jenkins- 22 years old, Georgia
The Good: 84 SPD, 83 STR, 85 AGI, 79 TAK, Height of 6’3”
The Bad: 54 AWR

Leonard Floyd- 21 years old, Georgia
The Good: 81 STR, 90 AGI, 88 ACC, 82 TAK, Height of 6’6”, Weight of 244 #, age of 21
The Bad: 80 SPD, 59 AWR
I think someone has to take this guy early in the 2nd round. Sure he is not fast with 90 SPD but he is 6’6”, 244 # with 80+ STR, 90 AGI, 88 ACC and 82 TAK. I think this guy is a starting ROLB from day one.

Joshua Perry- 22 years old, THE Ohio State University
The Good: 81 STR, 85 AGI, 86 ACC, 80 TAK
The Bad: 55 AWR but the combo of 80+ SPD, STR, AGI, ACC & TAK makes this guy hard to resist.

Myles Jack- 22 years old, UCLA
The Good: 83 SPD, 85 AGI, 83 ACC, 81 TAK
The Bad: I do not think there is much bad going on with Jack. He might be a tad short at 6’1” but I think a GM could do much worse as Jack.

De’ Vondre Campbell- 23 years old, Minnesota
The Good: 84 SPD, 81 STR, 85 AGI
The Bad: age of 23, 51 AWR, 75 TAK

MLB’s
BJ Goodson- 22 years old, Clemson
The Good: 88 SPD, 77 STR, 84 AGI, 93 ACC, 80 TAK
The Bad: Nothing- This guy was mocked to go in the middle of round 1. Some time is going to get an excellent deal when they draft Goodson.

Kamu Grugier Hill- 23 years old, Eastern Illinois
The Good: 88 SPD, 77 STR, 90 ACC, 79 TAK
The Bad: 81 AGI, age of 23- He is not quite as good as BJ Goodson but Grugier Hill will be a good player with the chance of being 90+ in SPD & ACC.

Nick Kwiatkowski- 23 years old, West Virginia
The Good: 85 SPD, 92 ACC, 81 TAK
The Bad: 71 STR, 81 AGI, age of 23

Reggie Ragland- 21 years old, Alabama
The Good: age of 21, 85 SPD, 73 AWR, 83 AGI, 84 ACC, 86 TAK
The Bad: There really is not anything to not like with Ragland, other than maybe his 71 STR. He should end up being a very solid MLB, possibly a great MLB for someone who is stacked with MLB’s.

CB’s
Anthony Brown- 23 years old, Purdue
The Good: 93 SPD, 60 STR, 90 AGI, 96 ACC
The Bad: 50 AWR, age of 23

Juston Burris- 22 years old, North Carolina State
The Good: 92 SPD, 66 STR, 95 AGI, 98 ACC, 74 TAK
The Bad: For the 2nd round I do not see much to not like about Burris.

Xavien Howard- 22 years old, Baylor
The Good: 95 SPD, 68 STR, 66 AWR, 91 ACC, 74 TAK
The Bad: 82 AGI, 76 JMP- This guy was mocked to be taken in the 1st round so at least I am not the only one who sees some positives with him.

Will Redmond- 22 years old, Mississippi State
The Good: 94 SPD, 95 AGI, 96 ACC, 91 JMP, 72 TAK
The Bad: Height of 5’11”

KeivaraeRussell- 23 years old, Notre Dame
The Good: 98 SPD, 96 AGI, 97 ACC, 963 JMP
The Bad: 49 STR, age of 23- This guy’s SPD, ACC & AGI should get him drafted soon.

LeShaun Sims- 22 years old, Southern Utah
The Good: 92 SPD, 95 AGI, 95 ACC, 99 JMP, 72 TAK
The Bad: STR is 56 which is not good but it is not ridiculously low.

FS’s
Deon Bush- 23 years old, Miami
The Good: 92 SPD, 92 AGI, 88 AGI, 78 TAK
The Bad: age of 23

Clayton Fejedelem- 23 years old, Illinois
The Good: 90 SPD, 90 AGI, 91 ACC, 78 TAK
The Bad: age of 23

Will Parks- 23 years old, Arizona
The Good: 91 SPD, 92 AGI, 92 ACC, 79 TAK
The Bad: age of 23, 52 STR

SS’s
KJ Dillon- 23 years old, West Virginia
The Good: 91 SPD, 96 AGI, 83 TAK
The Bad: age of 23
