AFC East
1.
Miami Dolphins
2.
New England Patriots
3.
Buffalo Bills
4.
New York Jets
Analysis: The window is decreasing for the
Miami Dolphins but I feel this team still has one season left on top of this division before they have to cede to someone else. I do like the improvements the
New England Patriots are making -- they may be ready to make a big jump this year. I also think the
Buffalo Bills will be chippy this year, but they're riding a lot on AJ McCarron. Last place is the
New York Jets, but that might be my lack of trust in certain players, not the GM.
AFC North
1.
Baltimore Ravens
2.
Cleveland Browns
3.
Cincinnati Bengals
4.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Analysis: This is GM Norbert Huszti and the
Baltimore Ravens division to lose. But I think we have to talk about how much the
Cleveland Browns underperformed last year, so I expect them to be vastly improved. Then we have two rookie QBs...I like the
Cincinnati Bengals to be slightly better with Jared Goff than the
Pittsburgh Steelers with Nate Sudfeld.
AFC South
1.
Houston Texans
2.
Indianapolis Colts
3.
Tennessee Titans
4.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Analysis: The
Houston Texans have very quietly built a fantastic roster over the past couple of seasons and I'm waiting for them pop -- I think this is the year. In second place I like the
Indianapolis Colts, despite Carson Wentz being on the roster. Besides, we all know Brady Quinn will be taking the snaps. Third place is the "All Star"
Tennessee Titans. My big concern is QB play, despite the roster being great. The
Jacksonville Jaguars are in last place, as they're still rebuilding.
AFC West
1.
Denver Broncos
2.
Oakland Raiders
3.
Kansas City Chiefs
4.
San Diego Chargers
Analysis: Tom Collins showed his chops last year with the
Denver Broncos being dominant and I expect that to continue. But Brad Barber extended the life of the
Oakland Raiders through Chad Henne's inability to regress (Fountain of Youth). Third place likely goes to the
Kansas City Chiefs, though they are neck and neck with the
San Diego Chargers. Neither team warrants confidence.
