2017 Mellon Patch To Mock Madness- Version 1- Pre Free Agency
So, right off the bat, I want to say this is not my niche. I think this is my second ever mock draft. I totally expect it to be different than other GM’s. I am basing this off my drafting style which is going to focus first on team need. Figuring out team need prior to the end of the first free agency period is tough so I expect to have different versions of this between now and Thursday oct 19th, the first round of the draft.
Again, my mock draft is going to be a bit different, by choice as who wants to read 15 versions of the same thing. What I’ve done in the past is listed whom I think are the studs at each position before I list my actual mock. Here’s goes who I believe are the top guys at each position:
QB
1.
Mitchell Trubisky - North Carolina, 22 years old, 6’3” & 225# | AWR 74, THP 95, THA 87, SPD 64, INJ 63, TGH 93 | I think Trubisky is going to be a great SFL QB, as long as he stays healthy. To come into the league with 74 AWR is great and the ability to add +10 via the mentor program means he will be 90+ entering his 3rd season. Wow. He has great THP to go along with that and obviously his 87 THA will progress as he goes. His SPD of 64 means it would take a miracle +5 of SPD skew for him not to have a balanced tendency. (Someone can fact check me on that you if would like.) He will be great, again though as long as he stays healthy. Why have I mentioned that twice now? His INJ is 63. We have seen 99 INJ QB’s go out for a season (Brett Favre for example) so some GM’s pay no attention to the INJ rating. The good news is he has a TGH of 93 which should be mean the likelihood of him getting injured is low. Would I take Trubisky with the 1st overall pick? Probably not just because I would be scared of the INJ rating.
2.
Deshaun Watson- Clemson. 22 years old, 6’2” & 210# | AWR 66, THP 97, THA 86, SPD 63, INJ 83, TGH 88 | Whomever drafts Watson can think the Madden draft creators for his SPD of 63 which assures he will not be a scrambler. Watson is going to make someone a fine franchise QB with many happy endings in their future.
3.
Patrick Mahomes- Texas Tech, 22 years old, 6’2” & 215# | AWR 65, THP 93, THA 89, SPD 61, INJ82, TGH 91 | Again, one specific GM is going to be thanking the drafter creator for a SPD 0f just 61 meaning AP will not have to be used for a tendency change. Mahomes enters the draft with a very good 65 AWR, respectful THP of 93 and great THA of 89. We have another future franchise QB in the making.
4.
Brad Kaaya- Miami, 21 years old, 6’4” & 215# | AWR 58, THP 99, THA 84, SPD 61, INJ 79, TGH 80 | I said my opinion would be different than others and I image I might alone by adding Kaaya to the top of the QB list. I did this due to his age of 21, height of 6’4” and THP of 99. So he is the youngest of the top QB’s, tallest and has the best arm and his AWR is not too bad 58. He could get two years of mentorship and possible two years of training camp plus probably sophomore boosts. I know that a lot of thigns would have to go right for all that to happen but if it did this guy would be a stub and a 4th franchise QB. Imagine current Vikings QB Tyler Wilson only taller with a stronger and more accurate arm (at draft time).
CB
1.
Marlon Humphrey- Alabama, 21 years old, 6’1” & 196# | AWR 66, SPD 97, ACC 97, AGI 94, STR 44, JMP 85, CTH 64, TAK 57 | Humphrey could potentially be 99 SPD, 99 ACC, 95 + AGI with high AWR with help from mentor bonuses and 6’1”. If it all would mesh together, he has SFL elite Champ Bailey material.
2.
Justin Hardee- Illinois, 22 years old, 6’1” & 200# | AWR 57, SPD 98, ACC 98, AGI 97, STR 46, JMP 99, CTH 64, TAK 66 | Hmm, a 6’1” CB with what could be 99 SPD, 99 ACC, 99 AGI & 99 JMP, wow. There isn’t anything not to like here.
3.
Cordrea Tankersley- Clemson, 23 years old, 6’0” & 200# | AWR 64, SPD 95, ACC 97, AGI 89, STR 43, JMP 93, CTH 65, TAK 61 | Tankersley might not be as highly ranked by other GM’s but I think when you have the combination of hitting the field as a rookie 6’0” CB with 65 AWR, 95+ SPD, 97+ ACC even with lower than ideal AGI, you are in a very good spot.
4.
Teez Tabor- Florida, 21 years old, 6’0” & 201# | Tabor’s potential 99 ACC, 99 AGI and 99 JMP make him just too attrarive despite his SPD of “just” 93 to not be an early CB pick in my eyes.
5.
Shaquill Griffin- University of Central Florida, 22 years old, 6’0” & 198# | AWR 63, SPD 92, ACC 97, AGI 98, STR 45, JMP 91,CTH 70, TAK 59 | Griffin may not be as high on most lists due to his 92 SPD but that does not worry me too much with ACC & AGI that could be maxed at 99 and with an amazing rookie CTH of 70, all to go with a 6’0” frame.
6.
Marshon Lattimore- THE Ohio State University, 21 years old, 6’0” & 195# | AWR 62, SPD 93, ACC 95, AGI, 92, STR 49, JMP 88, CTH 70, TAK 62 | I think, in a similar fashion to Griffin above, Lattimore makes up for his 93 SPD with a bit higher STR of 49 & great rookie CTH of 70 plus he is only 21 years old and has 62 AWR.
7. <Tre Davious White-Louisiana State University, 22 years old, 5’11” & 192 # | White does not have the height but some GM’s are not concerned with 5’11” or even 5’10” CB’s. White could end up with 99 SPD, 99 ACC, 99 AGI with 60+ AWR, making for too sweet of a combination for some GM’s to pass up.
8.
Kevin King- Washington, 22 years old, 6’3” & 192# | AWR 52, SPD 94, ACC 90, AGI 84, STR 50, JMP 83, CTH 63, TAK 58 | King’s lower ACC, AGI & JMP do not concern me due to him being 6’3”.
9.
Rasul Douglas- West Virginia, 23 years old, 6’1” & 208# | AWR 54 SPD 93, ACC 98, AGI 91, STR 49, JMP 97, CTH 56, TAK 59 | Another 6’0”+ player with POSSIBLE 99 ACC plus 90+ in SPD, AGI & JMP. I think he will grow to be a good SFL CB.
10.
Fabian Moreau- University California Los Angeles 21 years old, 6’0” & 204# | AWR 52, SPD 97, ACC 94, AGI 90, STR 43, JMP 87, CTH 57, TAK 59 | He is only 21 and has a chance to have 99 SPD to go with good ACC. I also thik Moreau could grow into a very good SFL CB.
WR
1.
Mike Williams- Clemson, 22 years old, 6’4” & 210# | AWR 69, SPD 95, ACC 99, AGI 95, CTH 78, STR 29, JMP 75 | Williams is exceatlly what most of the SFL looks for in a WR; tall, fast and great acceleration. He will no doubt be a stud WR. I am not fond of his STR but I mean that is the only know, he could even come into the league with 70 AWR. Again, he is going to be a stud.
2.
Ju Ju Smith Schuster- University of Southern California, 22 years old, 6’2” & 215 # | AWR 54, SPD 99, ACC 99, AGI, 99, CTH 84, STR, 46, JMP 86 | Smith Schuster is another guy who is going to be a franchise WR for the team who drafts him. Sure, he is 2 inches shorter than Williams but he could have 99 SPD, 99 ACC, 99 AGI without bonuses of any kind be it training camp, boosts via AP’s, rookie or sophomore progression.
3.
Kenny Golladay Norther Illinois, 22 years old, 6’4” & 214# | AWR 58, SPD 96, ACC 95, AGI 92, CTH 79, STR 65, JMP 97 | The drop from 1 & 2 to 3rd might look mighty on paper but I think Golladay is going to be a great SFL WR. He has great SPD, ACC & AGI but also boasts 65 STR to go with that 6’4” frame.
4.
Chris Godwin- Penn State, 21 years old, 6’1” & 205# | AWR 61, SPD 98, ACC 99, AGI 98, CTH 73 , STR 45, JMP 90 | Godwin looks to be a Taylor Price type WR but just not as strong.
5.
Josh Malone- Tennessee, 21 years old, 6’3” & 205# | AWR 62, SPD 94, ACC 99, AGI 91, CTH 86, STR 30, JMP 71 | Malone has very good height at 6’3” to go with that ACC of 99 and SPD which could be 95 coming into the league.
6.
Josh Reynolds- Texas A&AM, 22 years old, 6’3” & 194# | AWR 40, SPD 94, ACC 94, AGI 95, CTH 75, STR 59, JMP 96 | Reynolds is nearly the same player as Malone albeit it with a lower football iq.
7.
Zay Jones- Eastern Carolina, 22 years old, 6’1” & 195# | AWR 57, SPD 97, ACC 88, AGI 97, CTH 79, STR 34, JMP 73 | Jones could be an interesting player. He has okay sixe at 6’1” and could end up falling due to his sub 90 ACC however if he gets a favorable skew to that ACC he could be very dangerous. He is already going to be flirting with 99 SPD and 97 AGI.
8.
John Ross- Washington, 22 years old, 5’11” & 185# | AWR 54, SPD 99,ACC 99, AGI, 97, CTH 78, STR 47, JMP 85 | Sure Ross is less than 6’0” but he could possibly come into the league without any boosts and be 99 SPD, 99 ACC and 99 AGI.
TE
1.
Evan Engram- Ole Miss, 23 years old, 6’3” & 227# | AWR 57, SPD 94, ACC 88, AGI 81, STR 77, CTH 79, JMP 73, RBK 48, PBK 45 | Boy oh boy, what to do with Engram. There is zero doubt, once he catches the ball it’s going to be off to the races. There is going to be lots of gambles that a GM will have to take with him though. While he enters the draft with SPD of 94, it has the chance to do down 5. If his SPD and ACC go down much at all I think a lot of the allure is lost as he is an undersized TE. He is so undersized that he really would not be much bigger than some of the larger WR’s at 6’3” and just 227#. Still though, I think the risk out weights the reward.
2.
George Kittle- Iowa, 23 years old, 6’4” & 250# | AWR 70, SPD 92, ACC 84, AGI 75, STR 74, CTH 78, JMP 80, RBK 47, PBK 41 | See above, Kittle, in my opinion is a player very similar to Engram. If much of any SPD or ACC is gone via pre draft skews it will affect these players appeal.
MLB
1.
Trey Hendrickson- Florida A&M, 23 years old, 6’4” & 270# | AWR 64, SPD 84, ACC 96, STR 83, AGI 92, TAK 81 | Stop. Just stop and appreciate this player. He is a DE who is playing MLB. This guy is going to be a freak and a future SFL hall of famer. A 6’4” & 270# MLB? I will dance a jig and go streaking if this guy is available at pick #10 on Thursday. I said I was moving from the 3-4 and just traded a great MLB but I would re think my decision or trade my star MLB, Jonathan Bostic if Hendrickson lasts until pick 10.
2.
Kendell Beckwith- Louisiana State University, 22 years old & 252# | AWR 63, SPD 89, ACC 93, AGI 91, TAK 75 | While he is not 6’4” & 270#, he is close at 6’2” & 252# and will be a beast at a position some overlook due to the quality within the league and available in the draft. I do not care if I am lucky enough to draft Hendrickson at 1.10 and Beckwith is available at 1.20, I am drafting him too. I will just play these guys out of position.
RB
1.
James Conner- Pittsburg, 22 years old, 6’2” & 250# | AWR 60, SPD 93, ACC 92, STR 80, AGI 86, CAR 74, BTK 88 | Conner, to me at least is clearly the best RB in the draft. He has amazing size but also great athletic ability. I expect him to go early.
2.
Dalvin Cook- Florida State, 22 years old, 6’0”, 205# | AWR 58, SPD 95, ACC 96, STR 82, AGI 95, CAR 75, BTK 69 | Cook has good size and posses STR of 82 to go with great athletic abilities. His CAR is manageable while his BTK of 69 will need some work but this is progress able via regular playing time.
3.
Christian McCaffrey- Stanford, 22 years old, 6’0” & 201# | AWR 63, SPD 95, ACC 98, STR 81, AGI 91, CAR 81, BTK 60 | McCaffrey has everything you are looking from a RB in size, SPD and ACC, good football IQ, even good CAR at 81 however his BTK is very low at 60. Is this too low for a franchise RB? Personally, I do not think so. I think the GM who drafts McCaffrey, assuming it is to start him will find our BTK is not as important of an attribute as what we have been lead to believe.
4.
Kareem Hunt- Toledo, 22 years old, 5’10” & 205# | AWR 60, SPD 96, ACC 96, STR 75, AGI, 97, CAR 75, BTK 70. | Hunt falls into the same areas as the three RB’s in front of him, they are all very good but might be lacking in one area. For Hunt, it maybe BTK. As stated above though, there is a chance we have put too much emphasis on BTK over the years.
LE
1.
Myles Garrett- Texas A&M, 21 years old, 6’4” & 268# | AWR 67, SPD 85, ACC 88, STR 75, AGI 82, TAK 76 | I think Garret has the size to be successful in any defense be it, 3-4 43 or 46 that a few GM’s run. I think he will be the first DE off the board and it will more than likely be early.
2.
Jonathan Allen- Alabama, 2 years old, 6’3” & 291# | AWR 70, SPD 79, ACC 87, STR 73, AGI 81, TAK 79 | Allen, like Garrett should be able to play in the 3-4, 43 or 46 defense, perhaps play even better than Garrett in a 3-4 defense. While his SPD is not special at 79 he does have a good AWR of 70. He could come into the league with 80+ in SPD, AGI, ACC and TAK which is pretty good for a DE. He could also be moved to RE where he should be a very productive player.
RE
1.
Daeshon Hall- Texas A&M, 22 years old, 6’5” & 270# | AWR 55, SPD 85, ACC 80, STR 75, AGi 79, TAK 68 | Hall may not be the most flashy DE but I think he is the best in the class. He has a tall frame and with 85 SPD he should be a force at RE.
SS
1.
Eddie Jackson- Alabama, 22 years old, 6’0” & 194# | AWR 63, SPD 95, ACC 99, AGI 99, STR 67, TAK 74 | A complete player who will start from day 1 and never look back. Jackson could enter the league as the best SS or FS, if he gets changed to FS. Yes, I think he is and will continue to be that good. He should be drafted early, very early.
2.
Nathan Gerry- Nebraska, 22 years old, 6’2” & 220# | AWR 56, SPD 91, ACC 92, AGI 93, STR 67, TAK 63 | Gerry will no doubt improve which ever teams who drafts him’s defensive backfield.
3.
Justin Evans- Texas A&M, 23 years old, 6’0”& 200# | AWR 60, SPD 91, ACC 90, AGI 96, STR 62 & TAK 72 | I think Evans can be an SFL difference maker at the SS position.
ROLB
1.
Matt Milano- Boston College, 22 years old, 6’0” & 221# | AWR 67, SPD 85, ACC 96, STR 81, AGI 90, TAK 67 | Milano is super athletic as he has good SPD and amazing ACC and AGI plus 80+ but he is not much of a tackler with TAK of just 67. I still think he might be worth a late 1st round chance for a potentially very high reward. I think his future will be at LOLB for a team running a 3-4 defense.
LOLB
1.
TJ Watt- Wisconsin, 21 years old, 6’4” & 243# | AWR 63, SPD 85, ACC 92, STR 85, AGI 87, TAK 74 | Watt is by far, in my opinion the best LB in this draft not named Trey Hendrickson. He will start for whomever drafts him from day 1 and post pro bowl like stats for the next 9 seasons.
2.
Samson Ebukam- Eastern Washington, 23 years old, 6’3” & 245# | AWR 63, SPD 88, ACC 86, STR 81, AGI 82, TAK 73 | Samson is special. He’s big at 6’3” and 245# plus has amazing hair. He should be picked somewhere around the 20th pick I would imagine. A team needing an OLB. could see his size being even more of an asset at the ROLB position.
3.
Vince Biegel- Wisconsin, 23 years old, 6’4” & 245# | AWR 61, SPD 89, ACC 87, STR 72, AGI 85, TAK 70 | Man, Wisconsin had both TJ Watt and Vince Biegel as LB’s? He will be another guy that surely will not last past pick 20.
LG
1.
Dyshon Sims- Georgia, 22 years old, 6’4” & 290# | AWR 57, SPD 73, AGI 78, ACC 71, STR 99, RBK 79, PBK 80 | Sims may not be the best G prospect we have seen over the years but I think he is very much able to start for just about any SFL. I would be happy with him in a Tampa Bay Bucs uniform.
2.
Dorian Johnson- Pittsburg, 23 years old, 6’5” & 300# | AWR 62, SPD 71, AGI 76, ACC 78, STR 86, RBK 80, PBK 82 | Johnson is bigger than Sims but he is a year older so I gave the nod as the best G in the draft and most likely to go earliest to Sims.
LT
1.
Cam Robinson-Alabama, 21 years old, 6’6” & 310# | AWR 73, SPD 73, AGI 77, ACC 80, STR 94, RBK 76, PBK 81 | Robinson will be an impactful OT no matter where he ends up at.
2.
Roderick Johnson- Florida State, 21 years old, 6’6” & 308# | AWR 78, SPD 68, AGI 77, ACC 84, STR 97, RBK 70, PBK 80 | Johnson is a student of the game due to his high football IQ. He’s big, young and very athletic to boost. He will be a project with a high ceiling.
RT
1.
Garett Bolles-Utah, 22 years old, 6’5” & 296# | AWR 62, SPD 65, AGI 76, ACC 87, STR 91, RBK 82, PBK 87 | I think Bolles would work at either RT or LT. His STR 91 and SPD 65 combo may be better utilized at LT but his AGI 76 and ACC of 87 make for a great combo plus he has the best blocking stats out of any T in the draft.
2.
Julien Davenport- Bucknell, 22 years old, 6’6” & 315# | AWR 67, SPD 73, AGI 83, ACC 73, STR 98, RBK 78, PBK 81 | Davenport is huge at 6’6” and 315# but enters the draft with SPD of 73.
3.
Justin Senior- Mississippi State, 22 years old, 6’5” & 329# | AWR 62, SPD 67, AGI 72, ACC 80, STR 99, RBK 78, PBK 80 | Senior is another huge mountain of a man who is very athletic.
4.
Antonio Garcia- Troy State, 23 years old, 6’6” & 302# | AWR 62, SPD 75, AGI 80, ACC 70, STR 99, RBK 75, PBK 80 | Garcia is 6’6”, 300#+ but comes into the draft with SPD of 75. He is raw at blocking but with STR of 99 and AGI of 0, this guy will be a star lineman wherever he is drafted.
DT
1.
Davon Godchaux- Louisiana State University, 21 years old, 6’4” & 293# | AWR 55, SPD 80, STR 87, AGI 84, ACC 78, TAK 74 | Godchaux has crazy SPD and AGI for a DT. He should make an impact for whatever team drafts him.
2.
Jaleel Johnson- Iowa, 23 years old, 6’3” & 310# | AWR 49, SPD 64, STR 96, AGI 77, ACC 86, TAK 77 | Johnson is more of the standard DT in that he is STR but he has amazing ACC of 86. He will be tough for any offensive line that he goes against.
Positions of FS, RG, C, FB, K & P did not have anyone worthy of a 1st round pick, in my opinion so I did not review them.
Okay if you have hung with me this long, here is what you came here for: my 2017 SFL Mock Draft, Pre Free Agency Version. I have put a very brief (and admittedly not detailed or even 100% error free) list of what each team need might be. Also, my apologies upfront if the draft order is wrong.
1.1 |
New Orleans Saints- GM Nate Jones | Needs: QB & MLB
Projected pick:
QB Mitchell Trubisky | I believe Nat looks to trade this pick but in the end gets the Saints their franchise QB in Trubisky.
1.2 |
San Diego Chargers- GM Will Cook | Need: SS, DT, Elite MLB, LE
Projected pick:
SS Eddie Jackson (Yes, I know this will not a popular choice.) I just think the caliber of player Jackson will be is too much for Will to bypass.
1.3 | Oakland Raiders- GM Brad Barber | Need: DT, RE, LE
Projected pick:
LE Myles Garrett. This pick simply makes sense.
1.4 |
New England Patriots- GM Briston Redford | Need: CB, LE, ROLB
Projected pick: CB Marion Humphrey | Briston and the Patriots run to the podium to make this selection and are extremely happy about doing so.
1.5 |
Atlanta Falcons- GM Garth Pearce | Need: SS, MLB, WR
Projected pick: WR Mike Williams | WR is not much of a need but I think know the caliber of WR that Williams is will be too much for Garth not to pick him here.
1.6 |
Chicago Beard- GM Brent Lachapelle | Need: MLB, ROLB, both due to regression
Projected pick:
MLB Trey Hendrickson | I think the Bears consider teaming the Watt brothers and look at TJ Watts but draft Hendrickson due to Sean Lee’s regression.
1.7 |
Indianapolis Colts-GM Breck |Need: SS, LE, G, CB
Projected pick:
WR Ju Ju Smith Schuster | I know WR is not a need for the Colts but I know Breck likes WR’s and I think he finds a great one with this one.
1.8 |
Baltimore Ravens- GM Norbert Huszti | Need: DT, RB (Wells replacement)
Projected pick:
RB James Conner | Another pick that might not yet be a need since Well is 29 but I think the Ravens call Conner’s number if he is available here.
1.9 | New York Giants- GM Romeo Mendez | Need: CB, SS, RE, WR
Projected pick:
WR Kenny Golladay | I think the Giants bet a big play WR who will be veteran QB Palmer’s favorite target in 2017 with Golladay.
1.10 | Tampa Bay Bucs- GM Bryan Mellon | Need: SS, DT, LE, RE, OG, TE
Projected pick: LOLB TJ Watt | I did not realize I had so many holes until looking at my team just now. I know there is a great chance Watt will not be available but if he is I do not see how I could pass him up.
1.11 |
Green Bay Packers- GM Gary Hickman | Need: WR, OT, OG
Projected pick:
TE Evan Engram | I think Gary sees a great skew from the speedster TE and makes the surprise pick for a player that perhaps changes the whole division and sends the other teams into a frenzy trying to figure out to keep a 95 SPD TE in check.
1.12 |
Miami Dolphins- GM Darren Roberts | Need: ROLB, CB
Projected pick:
CB Justin Hardee | I think Darren sees Hardee available and improves his defensive backfield with this pick.
1.13 |
San Diego Chargers- GM Will Cook | Need: DT
Projected pick:
DT Davon Godchaux | Will is happy to see Godchaux here and decides to help the Chargers defense by selecting the best DT in the draft.
1.14 |
Jacksonville Jaguars- GM Olivier Ratajczak | Need: DT, RE, RT, WR
Projected pick:
WR Chris Godwin | I think Olivier selects Godwin here and gives Crablegs Winston a new, young favorite target.
1.15 |
New York Giants- GM Romeo Mendez | Need: CB, SS, RE, WR
Projected pick:
QB Patrick Mahomes | What the heck, lets make things interesting and project Romeo to take Mahones here. He has a mentor QB in Palmer so selecting Mahomes or Watson here makes sense.
1.16 |
Tennessee Titans- GM Apollo | Need: Nothing, they are the champs for a reason.
Projected pick: TE George Kittle | TE is not a need since the Titans have James however this seems like it could a crazy home run kind of pick for the Titans.
1.17 |
Miami Dolphins- GM Darren Roberts | Need: ROLB, CB
Projected pick:
Samson Ebukam | Darren gets his ROLB of the future with Ebukam.
1.18 | Oakland Raiders- GM Brad Barber | Need: DT, RE
Projected pick:
DT Jaleel Johnson | I think Johnson and his amazing ACC would make for a very good pair on the defensive line with fellow rookie Myles Garrett.
1.19 |
New York Jets- GM Kevin Mullendore | Need: Young QB
Projected pick:
QB Deshaun Watson | What the heck, lets go with another surprise QB pick here. Sanchez just entered mentorship so this would seem like a very logical pick.
1.20 | Tampa Bay Bucs-GM Bryan Mellon | SS, DT, LE, RE, OG, TE
Projected pick:MLB Kendell Beckwith | I said earlier, during the prep work that if he was here would take him so I feel as if I have to keep my word. Now the question is, do I play him at LOLB and go with the 43 defense or stay with the 34 making recently acquired Vontez Burfcit MLB3?
1.21 | |
Tennessee Titans- GM Apolloa | Need: Nothing, they are the champs for a reason.
Projected pick:
CB Tre’ Davious White | Apollo likes his 99, 99, 99 CB’s so lets slot him another one with this pick.
1.22 |< b>Jacksonville Jaguars- GM Olivier Ratajczak | Need: DT, RE, RT, WR
Projected pick:
CB Cordrea Tankersley | I think Apollo and the champions start a run of CB’s with their drafting of White.
1.23 |
Seattle Seahawks- GM Rock Hewko | Need: SS, RB
Projected pick:
RB Christian McCaffrey | Rock traded Eddie Lacey and replaces him with McCaffrey is the way this projection plays out.
1.24 |
Cleveland Browns- GM Ian Coyle | Need: LT, RT, LOLB
Projected pick:
Cam Robinson | Ian shores up his offensive line with this beast.
1.25 |
Miami Dolphins- GM Darren Roberts | Need: RE
Projected pick:
RE Daeshon Hall | Darren fills a void on his defensive line with the speedy Hall.
1.26 |
Denver Broncos- GM Tom Collins | Need: LE, LOLB
Projected pick:
Janathan Allen | Tom was looking for a DE earlier in the offseason. He fills that need/want by drafting Allen.
1.27 |
Tennessee Titans- GM Apolloa | Need: Nothing, they are the champs for a reason. I figure Apollo will trade this pick for a future 1st that happens to be in the top 5 of next year’s draft but since I have to put something here, we will go with: .
Projected pick:
QB Brad Kaaya | Earlier I said Apollo likes 99,99,99 CB’s, well he also likes young QB’s with huge upsides so I think taking Kaaya here would a brilliant move.
1.28 |
Pittsburg Steelers- GM Gary Cohen | Need: FS, DT, RE, RB, WR
Projected pick:
WR Josh Malone | Gary gets a fresh target for the Steelers QB corp with the selection of Malone.
1.29 |
Pittsburg Steelers- GM Gary Cohen | Need: FS, DT, RE, RB, WR
Projected pick:
SS Nathan Gerry | Gerry is too good for Gary to passup and the steel curtain add to their defense. Gerry or current SS Jordan Richards will end up moving to FS.
1.30 |
Pittsburg Steelers- GM Gary Cohen | Need: FS, DT, RE, RB, WR
Projected pick:
WR Josh Reynolds | Yes, I know I just mocked WR Josh Malone to the Steelers at 1.28 but looking at WR Reynolds, I really think he could help give the Steelers an unbelievably good trio of young WR’s in current star DeAndre Hopkins, the previously drafted Josh Malone and Reynolds.
1.31|
Seattle Seahawks- GM Rock Hewko | Need: SS, RB
Projected pick:
SS Justin Evans | I think Rock gets a quality starting SS in Evans with the 31st pick.
1.32 |
Indianapolis Colts-GM Breck |Need: SS, LE, G, CB- I totally expect Breck to trade this pick for a future pick but since I have to list something:
Projected pick:
LG Dyshon Sims Sims is going to be a great G in the SFL so why not have it be with the Colts.
It is done! Over 7 hours for this. I do not think the juice was quite worth the squeeze but It was a fun way to rest up, stay out of the wet weather and spent some time in the 2017 SFL draft!
