2017 SFL MOCK DRAFT V2.0 (THE FINAL MOCK) 1-16
1.1- New Orleans Saints- QB Mitchell Trubisky- North Carolina
The Saints move up to #1 and snag the best QB in this draft class in Mitch Trubisky. I'd be shocked if it's anyone but him at this point, it's a need, he's already the best QB of the group, solid arm, great THA, almost the same amount of AWR as Josh Freeman at only 22 years old.
1.2- San Diego Chargers- CB Marlon Humphrey- Alabama
The Chargers could go a number of routes here but in the end I think CB Marlon Humphrey is too good to pass up even though it may not be a huge need. 6'1", 21 years old, unreal athletic ability, excellent football IQ and above average CTH/JMP it's just too bad he's going to such a crap franchise like the Chargers where he'll waste his career like Stephone Gilmore did.
1.3- Oakland Raiders- SS Eddie Jackson- Alabama
For me to take a S this high and justify it then he has to be an elite specimen and that's exactly what Eddie Jackson is, there are only 2 like him in the entire SFL. He has CB athletic ability and not just CB but top level CB on a 6'0" frame, his starting football AWR is excellent, his JMP is above average and his TAK is also. His CTH has much to be desired but it will get worked on throughout the years.
1.4- Oakland Raiders- LE Myles Garrett- Texas A&M
Although we added DE Derrick Harvey from the Colts, Garrett offers long term stability and gives us an elite playmaker at the position that we've been lacking for quite some time. He has awesome athleticism to go along with his 6'4" 268 lbs frame, He aklso comes with excellent football IQ.
1.5- Atlanta Falcons- WR Mike Williams- Clemson
There is alot to like with WR Mike Williams, besides his 6'4" 210 lbs. frame he offers exceptional SPD, elite burst, excellent football IQ, above average hands and JMP. He would start day 1 across from the 6'3" Kevin Norwood to form a dangerous duo.
1.6- Chicago Bears- QB Patrick Mahomes- Texas Tech
Patrick Mahomes will have the luxury to sit behind veteran QB Eric Ainge for at least a year or 2 to develop his craft. He offers the Bears great starting AWR, cannon of an arm, top notch THA, he will be taking over the Bears franchise in no time and thriving.
1.7- Miami Dolphins- WR Kenny Golladay- Northern Illinois
Golladay is another big 6'4" 214 lbs WR, the kind that the Dolphins GM Daren Roberts covets. Not only does he have size but also exceptional athletic ability, elite burst, above average CTH and elite JMP. He would start immediately alongside of the the 6'3" Kevin norwood.
1.8- Baltimore Ravens- OLB T.J. Watt- Wisconson
Watt is an absolute animal and it's only fitting he goes to the Ravens right? He has unreal athletic ability, the ability to rush the passer, stop the runner in the backfield and go out into coverage against TE's if need be. He's only 21 years old, solid football IQ and his size of 6'4" 243 lbs with 83 STR allows him to play in any scheme which gives him Pro Bowl potential in year 1.
1.9- New York Giants- QB Deshaun Watson- Clemson
Deshaun Watson has alot to like besides being only 22 years old, he also has excellent starting football IQ/AWR, elite THP and almost elite THA, He could surpass Mahomes if the skews are more favorable but should come in and get mentored right away by Jordan Palmer who the Giants aquired via trade with the Miami Dolphins, I also heard he gets 50% off massages (don't kill the messenger).
1.10- Tampa Bay Bucaneers- DE Davon Godchaux- LSU
Godchaux would be a perfect fit in Bryan's 3-4 scheme, he has the size, athletic ability to get to the QB, STR to bust through tackles and hit the RB in the backfield, plus he has above average TAK. He will have to work on his football IQ/AWR at the SFL level but this is the kind of talent the Bucs GM loves to collect.
1.11- Tennessee Titans- TE Geroge Kittle- Iowa
George Kittle has big time potential and is just the type of player I think the Titans are seeking just outside the top 10. He doesn't have elite size but definitely off the charts SPD, maybe the fastest TE in the SFL with a favorable skew? To go along with the SPD he also has excellent AWR/Football IQ and above average hands. He'll come in and immediately take over the starting TE job from Jesse James and his 43 AWR giving Rivers or Wenning an elite target to throw to.
1.12- Indianapolis Colts- WR Chris Godwin- Penn State
I think WR is the target here, the Colts have a few aging players in regression protocol and Godwin at 6'2" with 99 SPD/99 AGI/99 ACC potential is too good to pass up here plus is more football aware over the rest of the guys still on the board which probably separates him. He'll work on his hands at the SFL level but comes with elite JMP, he will start possibly in the slot year 1.
1.13- San Diego Chargers- DE Jonathan Allen- Alabama
The Chargers get their Demarcus Lawrence replacement and I think Allen is forgotten somehow but offers a bunch of potential for Will. He has the size to play in any scheme, he has great athletic ability maybe not the same high end caliber as Garrett but will still most likely be a double digit sack guy with that football IQ.
1.14- Jacksonville Jaguars- WR Juju Smith-Schuster- USC
You can't just replace a Jaguars legend like Dez Bryant with some rookie and expect the same results but there are many similarities with Smith-Schuster and Bryant. He has decent size at 6'2" and has 99SPD/99AGI/99ACC potential to go with the 2nd best CTH in this class and above average JMP, He should tart immediately opposite of Justin Blackmon.
1.15- New York Giants- CB Justin Hardee- Illinois
Hardee with some TLC has big time potential, at only 22 years old he has the 6'1" frame most GM's covet. Another guy with 99SPD/ 99AGI/ 99ACC potential, his AWR is a bit low but still very much manageable and can play NCB until the NYG have more faith in him. I feel like he could be the best corner in this class when it's all said and done.
1.16- Tennessee Titans- RB James Conner- Pittsburgh
Lets face it at this point the Titans have all starters in place so they're just filling the depth chart with talent and it would be hard to pass up James Conner at this point giving them another solid bruising back behind Henry. I'll always approve of Conner, and he should be a beast on 3rd downs and goaline with his mix of power, SPD and STR.
