Patrick Mahomes and Mitchell Trubisky are also link on this universe, this time the Chicago Bears ended with Patrick Mahomes, this is a nice script for what if… series, he reach a team with a winning culture and a mentor available so that adds an extra. He’s also the captain of Bizarro team and should offer good chances for compete even if have a tremendous prospect as Trubisky as rival. For those that haven’t follow the previous editions of this game the idea is to compare the drop of talent between superman and bizarro team, this somehow offers a guide about how deep a class was or not. Starting for the QB we need to see that the starting awr differences is considerable but Mahomes has more tha, the first one is more important but eventually any top QB expect to end with 99 -99 , that’s the final goal, so THA helps on the process. And on that area mahomes has a better attribute than Trubisky, the reality about the 2 prospects is that even if at short term, Trubisky has a better learning curve and will reach his max potential sooner than Mahomes, if Patrick receives the right mentorship and amount of time they should reach the same point, and Mahomes also comes with a better injury rating, is good to find a comparable player than the 1.1 pick for an 1.6 pick, so Bears gotta be happy about him.

HB Christian McCaffrey

Height: 6’0”

Weight: 201

Age: 22

College: Stanford

Run Block: 37

Kick return: 88

Commentary

CMC has better legs than Conner so he has potential to be more vertical, better speed, agility and acceleration. The big difference comes on terms of size and break tackle, there CMC has no way to compete with Conner that is on his own league, being a complete wrecking ball. CMC has better hands and offers a more reliable situation where he’s a receiver. McCaffrey wasn’t list as 1st round on all mock drafts but was a name that appeared there and the Packers decided to give him a shot, my personal opinion is that he might been an underrated player, yeah, he isn’t the biggest HB, but he’s neither small or undersized, his spd-agi-acc-str are elite, he comes with awr over the standard for a rookie, with high carry and his big flaw is the btk, something that can be progressable easily. When we talk about running backs, there seems to be no a common opinion, every GM has a different perspective of what works and what isn’t, if you like speed and strength on a running back, is harder to find a better prospect than CMC

WR Chris Godwin

Height: 6’1”

Weight: 205

Age: 21

College: Penn State

Draft Spot: 1.9

Team: NY Giants

Key Attributes:

Speed: 98

Catch: 73

Awareness: 61

Agility: 98

Acceleration: 99

Secondary Attributes:

Strength: 45

Carry: 51

Stamina: 87

Injury: 79

Toughness: 87

Pass Block: 20

Run Block: 30

Kick return: 53

Commentary

Chris Godwin is an excellent receiver, he has potential to be 99 -99 -99 without problems and maybe without investment of AP, that’s always good for a WR, the reason he wasn’t there in the conversation with Superman team receivers is his height. Personally I don’t think that’ll be a massive difference, of course, if you give me the option to pick any WR, I’ll try to get the tallest possible, but personally I think that when you have all the tools Godwin has, he’s good enough for produce the numbers of a top receiver, 6”1 is just 1 inch shorter than Ju-Ju, and many WR on the range of 6”1 and 6”2 have been extremely productive, and most of the routes are streaks burning the cornerbacks, if we had the option to manual catch, then the difference between a 6’4” WR and a 6’1” WR would be massive, but here I don’t think is the case. One aspect I really like about Godwin is that he’s only 21 years old. About the value – pick, I think he was right on the correct spot, is a tremendous player but it’s hard to consider him an steal is he was taken at 1.9. He might be one of the best receivers have played for Bizarro team, so most of the team hopes depends on him.

WR Josh Malone

Height: 6’3”

Weight: 205

Age: 21

College: Tennessee

Draft Spot: 1.27

Team: Pittsburgh Steelers

Key Attributes:

Speed: 94

Catch: 86

Awareness: 62

Agility: 91

Acceleration: 99

Secondary Attributes:

Strength: 30

Jump: 71

Carry: 60

Break Tackle: 29

Stamina: 84

Injury: 87

Toughness: 87

Pass Block: 26

Run Block: 33

Kick return: 38

Commentary

Josh Malone I think was a receiver a lot of GM have an eye on him (Me included) there was a list of 4 top receivers, we already talked about them, and then Malone, a player that with a good skew had potential to be one of the best WR of the class, his PW went down a bit, so I figured was going to drop, but let’s not lose focus on his attributes, cause I think Steelers got excellent value on this pick. He’s tall with a 6”3 frame, he has max acceleration, and his weak spot is that he doesn’t have 99 spd, yeah that’s crazy, but we’re reaching a point that if a receiver doesn’t have 99 speed, we assume is not a top player, and while it is true with league reality, I do wonder how much the difference on performance it’ll be on field. The one thing I love about Malone, is that he has only 21 yo, but he’s very progressed has excellent hands and decent awr, the projection to Malone is that he can be the mix of an athletic receiver but very smart one. We’re seeing more and more athletic receivers but they’re not easy to progress, a player can place outstanding stats and barely progress, or progress well, but still being on a long race / learning curve where need to decide between awareness and catch. So it’s hard to see receivers with high attributes on both, as is only 21 yo, Malone can get the 99 catch and then start working on his awr, or keep his catch as is and progress awr since his rookie season.

WR John Ross

Height: 5’11”

Weight: 185

Age: 22

College: Washington

Draft Spot: 2.2

Team: New York Giants

Key Attributes:

Speed: 99

Catch: 78

Awareness: 54

Agility: 97

Acceleration: 99

Secondary Attributes:

Strength: 47

Jump: 85

Carry: 76

Break Tackle: 63

Stamina: 83

Injury: 97

Toughness: 84

Pass Block: 25

Run Block: 16

Kick return: 80

Commentary
The Giants will provide 2 WR to Bizarro offense so this game will be the first time this duo see the field together, and the 2 are speedsters, Romeo went with a speeds wins philosophy, John Ross is shorter than Godwin, and those 2 inches might make a difference, I just said that the size between the very tall WR and Godwin might not been that important, but here the difference is even bigger, is not desired to have a short WR, but why not? I mean, Ross didn’t appear on my draftboard, not a player that I had my eye on, but with his speed he can be a player that burns defenses. When already beat CB on speed and QB placed the ball in your hands, it doesn’t matter how tall you are, could be 5”4 or 6”10 the ball will be there anyway just need to keep running and catch it. I do have the feeling that Godwin and Ross duo might become something special and prove size is overrated, or maybe confirm that size matters, one way or another. In the meanwhile Bizarro completes the lineup with an excellent 3rd WR. It’s less valuable than Ju-Ju, 100% 3 inches and better hands are important, but I don’t feel for this game the downgrade is considerable

TE Evan Engram

Height: 6’3”

Weight: 227

Age: 23

College: Ole Miss

Draft Spot: 1.19

Team: New York Jets

Key Attributes:

Speed: 94

Strength: 77

Acceleration: 88

Pass Block: 45

Run Block: 48

Secondary Attributes:

Carry: 70

Break Tackle: 56

Jump: 73

Stamina: 86

Injury: 82

Toughness: 81

Kick return: 4

Commentary

Evan Engram might be one of the best players a Bizarro team ever have, is not common that a player with his attributes reach this team, this is the result of having 2 very fast Tight Ends on the same draft, he’s a bit undersize at 6”3 and 227, but we’ve seen Fullbacks converted to tight ends as bohanon that play well, so we can predict the the 6”3 won’t be an obstacle, and his weight even if not amazin well, is something have to live with, all that goes to second term when see at the 94 speed, is off charts and basically is a wide receiver playing the position of TE, he can offer a lot of support at offense with his fast legs, having that kind of speed can stretch the field, definetily won’t be an easy player to stop. He comes with a very high catch rating of 79, awareness needs to improve and the block skills are below the desired but again, the way I see Engram is like a WR playing the TE position, the impact will depend on how is used, but is a player that can offer something different, and on this league that’s one of the main goals, he could become a TE with 1000+ yards.. Picking a player with this kind of generational talent potential at 1.19 was an incredible pick

OL Julie’n Davenport

Height: 6’6”

Weight: 315

Age: 22

College: Bucknell

Draft Spot: 2.17

Team: St. Louis Rams

Key Attributes:

Speed: 73

Strength: 98

Agility: 83

Acceleration: 73

Awareness: 67

Pass Block: 81

Run Block: 78

Secondary Attributes:

Stamina: 74

Injury: 96

Toughness: 84

Commentary

The Bizarro team keeps adding top players, I find hilarious that someone as Davenport fall to mid 2nd round pick, the player is very top and doesn’t have a clear flaw, there’s no reason for him to fall, other than GM’s start to see athletic OL as something more common, our classes start to be too athletic on the position so players start to drop causing a domino effect. Davenport would’ve been a top 10 pick in any draft from seasons ago. He’s tall with 73 spd, 98 str, 83 agility and 73 acceleration. Comes with a high awr of 67 for a rookie and his block skills even if not incredible at 81 and 78, are in a point where few progression and it’s fix. The common problem of this class rookies at the position were block skills, so Davenport is a bit above average on that aspect, hard to find reasons of him falling to 2nd round, other than the previous mentioned but Rams got an excellent value for the pick, and Davenport should become one of the key players for that offense, Felipe and Bizarro gotta be happy with the home run at this pick

OL Ryan Ramczyk

Height: 6’5”

Weight: 320

Age: 22

College: Wisconsin

Draft Spot: 2.20

Team: San Diego Chargers

Key Attributes:

Speed: 64

Strength: 98

Agility: 75

Acceleration: 78

Awareness: 65

Pass Block: 84

Run Block: 77

Secondary Attributes:

Stamina: 73

Injury: 88

Toughness: 83

Commentary

Ryan is a very balanced player, he’s solid at all physical attributes, doesn’t have a killer amount of speed of the 70’s we’re starting to see, but he’s still 64 and comes with elite strength, agility and acceleration, solid awareness of 65 for a rookie, and one of the best pass block ratings on the draft with 84, also solid run block with 77. Ramczyk is the kind of safe bet player, if he starts from day 1 he has guarantee a career when he’ll reach his learning curve potential and end with 90’s on the 3 important attributes, and physically has no flaws. He’ll complement the Bizarro offense in a team that is getting a lot of talent. There isn’t much to say on him, the way I value him is the kind of player won’t break any chart but should be extremely productive, has all the tools

OL Elijah Wilkinson

Height: 6’5”

Weight: 329

Age: 22

College: Massachusetts

Draft Spot: 2.30

Team: Cincinnati Bengals

Key Attributes:

Speed: 69

Strength: 96

Agility: 71

Acceleration: 78

Awareness: 60

Pass Block: 78

Run Block: 78

Secondary Attributes:

Stamina: 75

Injury: 97

Toughness: 81

Commentary

Elijah Wilkinson is our first player here that takes that jump into raw borderline, he’s a complete stud, with his 69 speed and 96 strength that after bonus should end on the 99, decent agility and elite acceleration of 78. He represents the transition on the position, it was impossible to imagine a player like him falling this far on draft but this is our current status, players as Wilkinson keep falling and falling. That doesn’t mean that he isn’t an excellent pick value here, to get this kind of potential for a late 2nd is a winners move. I mentioned the borderline between been raw and progressed, if we compare Wilkinson with his 2 teammates he has lower awr and a bit lower total block, still 60 awr and 78 – 78 on blocks still give him a window for reach good numbers in some seasons, he needs to start since his rookie season and get some snaps for start to gain progression, the league has multiple examples of players have started with less and have reached top numbers so there’s no reason for doubt about Wilkinson potential

OL Connor McDermott

Height: 6’8”

Weight: 310

Age: 23

College: UCLA

Draft Spot: 3.3

Team: Denver Broncos

Key Attributes:

Speed: 63

Strength: 99

Agility: 74

Acceleration: 79

Awareness: 66

Pass Block: 80

Run Block: 79

Secondary Attributes:

Stamina: 75

Injury: 88

Toughness: 86

Commentary

I love the potential of this player, that personally flew under my radar and probably was the case for many others, his speed is not amazing at 63, and yeah it’s dumb writing that but as mentioned high 60’s and early 70’s seems to be the new tendency, anyway, the speed is still solid and even more with 74 agility and elite acceleration of 79, he comes with max strenght so won’t suffer there. And the reason why I really him is his height, I haven’t hide on the past that I consider height a key aspect on OL, specially at OT, and if don’t trust me can check my team. The knowledge I have from game have told me that very tall OL tends to react well against blitz and produce more pancakes, but I can’t confirm that theory on here, I mean I would take a top OL even if is 6’3” but having 6’8” is always a nice bonus, also we’re back to the point of above average attributes for awr-pbk-rbk, McDermott could be considered a progressed player compared to the rest of OL that were draft after him, many of them will struggle as rookies and will have a complicated learning curve. Broncos and Tom Collins have proven ability to develop OL so McDermott should be a really nice player in some seasons. The one aspect that affect him a bit, is that he’s already 23 yo, is not a critical aspect but one of the things to have on mind.

C Pat Elflein

Height: 6’2”

Weight: 300

Age: 23

College: Ohio State

Draft Spot: 3.29

Team: Ohio State

Awareness: 80

Pass Block: 74

Run Block: 77

Secondary Attributes:

Stamina: 48

Injury: 82

Toughness: 84

Commentary

We complete the offensive linemen with a very interesting prospect, as was mention on the Superman team analysis the position of center was not hight on this draft and they kept falling, Bizarro found himself with a nice surprise, he does have the player with most awareness for this game, and yeah it’s crazy but C Elflein has 80 awr, many vetereans don’t reach that point during all career, so starting with that amount is unique, now as also said in previous comments I consider all the progressables attributes are somehow link, and maybe the amazing awr is somehow affected by the low block skills, which I mean are low but are not that bad, 74 pass block and 77 run block, he definetily needs to progress and receive some helps but without doubts is an interesting prospect for a low cost and can be of great help for Mahomes on this game. He needs to increase his strength if want to compete 1 vs 1 with DT’s, if he does, he has the speed necesaty for become a dual threat of center, one that can prevent sacks but also one helps rush attack with pancakes.

DE Dawuane Smoot

Height: 6’3”

Weight: 255

Age: 22

College: Illinous

Draft Spot: 3.4

Team: New England Patriots

Key Attributes:

Secondary Attributes:

Jump: 65

Catch: 22

Stamina: 68

Injury: 62

Toughness: 81

Commentary

At defensive end we see the first clear jump in comparison between both teams, while Superman took his 1st DE at 1.2 pick, Bizarro had to wait till 3.4, smoot is a player that depends a lot on his skew, has potential to be a solid starter with the right skew, he isn’t far from the 80 – 80 – 80 combination so many GM loves, he’s a very balanced player, with a solid 63 awr for a rookie but is not spectacular at any attribute, the position clearly took a jump in comparison with 1st round talent, anyway, for this game he can produce thanks his stenght and his SFL career will depend on the progression he received and the willingness of his team for give him opportunities for show his talent on the field. Only time will tell

DE Daeshon Hall

Height: 6’5”

Weight: 270

Age: 22

College: Texas A&M

Draft Spot: 3.11

Team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Awareness: 55

Tackle: 68

Secondary Attributes:

Jump: 65

Catch: 20

Stamina: 97

Injury: 78

Toughness: 99

Commentary

Hall was on the draft board with exactly the same speed as Myles Garrett that went 1.2, I know that acceleration is a critical aspect on a defensive lineman and that probably made some GM to hesitate about him, but for a 3rd round player I think his speed is something can’t be ignored, no matter how good or bad his other attributes are, and to be honest I don’t think his secondary attributes are that bad, with the right progression and enough love (AP investment and gametime) I believe he can be a very solid starter at the position, he’s only 22 yo so still has enough time for progress. How he fall to 3rd round is a mistery but at this point of the analysis looks as a steal. Bizarro team gotta be very happy with him on the team, and remember on this game QB tend to allow a lot of sacks so don’t be surprised if Hall name appears into the list of players with good performance.

DT Dalvin Tomlinson

Height: 6’2”

Weight: 305

Age: 23

College: Alabama

Draft Spot: 2.19

Team: New York Jets

Secondary Attributes:

Catch: 23

Stamina: 75

Injury: 77

Toughness: 87

Commentary

Dalvin Tomlinson is a very very interesting prospect, one was on my board and one I’m specially interested in see how he performs, his speed is nothing impressive, and the position probably doesn’t require it that much, even if I would love an 85 spd DT. He’s a bit weak for the position 89 strenght is not a desired number, but he has something very unique that gives him the possibility to become one of the best DT of the league, having a top player performer on any position is always a good thing, what makes him truly special is his combination of agility and acceleration, the most similar player is my prospect Ogbah, with the difference Ogbah is a convert DE to DT so he’s undersized while Tomlinson is over 300 pounds. I think he’ll suffer with the low strength, but I also think that he’ll be a sack machine, some movements here some there and he’ll reach to QB in a second. Definitely one player that will join my watch list, I’ll keep an eye on him and for this game Bizarro adds an extraordinary element for his DL

OLB Samson Ebukam

Height: 6’3”

Weight: 245

Age: 23

College: Easter Washington

Draft Spot: 2.13

Team: Miami Dolphins

Key Attributes:

Secondary Attributes:

Jump: 67

Stamina: 92

Injury: 79

Toughness: 86

Commentary

Incredible to see a player as Samson Ebukam falling to 2.13, he has no flaws, is tall, fast, strong, with not spectacular awareness and tackle but can progress without problem, probably the only asterisk that could be mention is his age, but 23 doesn’t means nothing when you can get a player of this quality, as reference the team that drafted him, Miami Dolphins, selected him as replacement of Von Miller, a player they took on the top 10, and that attribute wise is very similar, this only confirms how deep the classes are becoming and how GM are starting to let Linebackers slid. Also something that was mentioned on the article of Superman team, many GM tend to be scare of draft an OLB high on draft cause a potential negative skew on speed, but this apply on reverse, could skew up and become a generational talent, also there’s the idea that OLB is not a position that change the game, we all want to have the best OLB possible but is a position that can carry a lowe priority on team building. Grab a player as Ebukam on this spot was very smart, and excellent pick and a movement will make Dolphins to be back at glory very soon. Bizarro gotta be happy with an excellent linebacker on his team

OLB Vince Biegel

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 245

Age: 23

Secondary Attributes:

Jump:68

Commentary

Could copy and paste all that said on Ebukan but replacing the name for Biegel. Only 5 picks later, Broncos got a linebacker that is 1 speed faster and 1 inch taller, he’s a bit weaker, has less strength. Biegel also comes with premium agility and acceleration, he’s the 4th OLB drafted on this class, if that’s not evidence of how deep was the talent on the class, won’t find a better example. The duo of outside linebackers Bizarro will have this year might be the most talented for his team ever. Something extra about Biegel is that he has max injury rating of 99, on a class with many glass players, including the 1.1 pick, that’s a nice bonus, outside linebacker not a position that worry many GM, eventually an injury will happen, but to be on the good side of the spectrum, that’s always a nice bonus. It’ll be interesting to see how many opportunities Biegel receives on his team, Denver is loaded with fast solid OLB. He should be a day one starter and he has potential to develop really well if the opportunity is given.

MLB Kendell Beckwith

Commentary

Bizarro team close his linebacker group with the fastest Linebacker of this class, let’s picture a bit how Beckwith felt, he joins SFL combine and becomes the fastest player at his position, with 89 speed elite acceleration of acceleration and a good size of 6”2 and 252. Not the strongest linebacker but with that kind of athleticism Beckwith tells to himself: I’m a 1st round talent, should be the first MLB drafted and everybody will tall about me on mock drafts, then you find out that everybody are talking about a 6”4 – 270 pounds linebacker, that is slower than you but that is bigger, taller and stronger. And you fall to 2nd round. It’ll be interesting to see how both players perform, the strength can be a difference maker, but I don’t think the 2 inches and the 18 pounds will play a key difference, both should make the same plays on coverage and the same amount of tackles, being taller and heavier is more sexy, but personally I preffer it on the outside part of the field, at the inside I think what matters is speed and strength. I talk from my own experience with a similar 6”4 linebacker as was Hightower, and I think that Beckwith has arguments for be considered the MLB #1 of the draft, of course this article and analysis is just theory and only time will tell who of the both perform better but in the early comparison, Chiefs might grabbed the best MLB of the draft for 2.5 pick, and without doubts this is the best LB Core at Bizarro’s team history

Commentary

Griffin appears as the first Cornerback for Bizarro’s secondary, he doesn’t have a clear flaw, but personally I don’t love him. I consider that growing a CB is always hard, along QB is the position that set you back more while trying to develop, is matter of start a rookie and see how your defense will allow a Touchdown at any moment. On a league where speed is more common, I just don’t think that 92 spd griffin worth the pick and the effort to being grown. He comes with agility and acceleration that will reach 99-99 probably, a good size of 6”0 and a very solid awr of 63 for a rookie with 22 yo, so don’t get me wrong he’s a solid player that will produce but I don’t see crazy potential on him. Something worth of mention about Griffin is that he has elite hands, at 70, he could become into an interception machine, and that could help more with his progression, I think he can be a player that prove me wrong in some seasons, but for meanwhile I consider the difference between CB #1 of Superman and CB #1 of Bizarro is important at long time, for 1 game, the 63 awr should be enough for perform well.

Commentary

Agnew is an extremely fast player with potential of 99 -99 -99, but he has 2 details that made him fall to late 1st, the most important is that he’s only 5’10”, on a league that prioritize size, and most of the receivers are tall, this can be a problem. Many moons ago, Falcons used to have a short CB and used to play very well, but short CB are starting to disappear, yet, I think his speed compensate it and he could be an excellent nickel CB with potential of CB 1 or 2 depending the matchup, might not be wise to start him vs a 6”5 WR as he’ll be in disadvantage, but something is sure when have speed, won’t lose the 1 vs 1 only cause it. Now the other flaw that made him fall is his awareness, contrary to height that can’t be improved, the awr can be progressed. He starts with 57, that isn’t that bad but comparing to the more than 60 we saw on the previous picks, he’s an step behind. Nothing that a mentorship or game time as starter CB can’t fix, in the meanwhile got an special talent at late 1st, which is always a win. Interesting to see how he performs vs a tall WR, and Kenny Golladay might be his 1st big test.

Kevin King is somehow the other side of the coin compared with Agnew, he’s very tall he has an elite body frame of 6”3, something that isn’t common on the league, and that could play a key role vs the same tall WR we’ve mentioned. Now, King struggles with agility and acceleration, and his speed is on the range of good. He needs to learn much about football, he comes with one of the lower awareness from the class, so he’ll be a liability for the early seasons, but that can be fixed with training camps, mentorships and game time. King is a project with high end potential, if he receives the enough love from his new team NY Jets, that ironically GM name is also Kevin, he could become into a player with top 10 value and a shutdown for tall WR, something that divisional rivals as Dolphins do love. The truth about CB is that only based on attributes is very hard to predict how a player will perform, with his 6”3 he has the special factor and could be a very unique player, for Bizarro he probably preferred a more ready player, but can only hope size beat speeds and brains.

Commentary

This class had 1 clear top target at FS position, Malik Hooker, so the drop here is considerable to make a difference, taken at late 2nd, Jones offers the same body frame with 6’2” premium agility and acceleration, 2 aspects that makes him a very interesting player, but his speed of 86 and mainly the difference of awareness can play a factor here. Progressing safeties is not easy, somehow the production at the position is not easy to get, and normally they get 1 point on regular progression and 2 if had an outstanding period. So growing up a safety is not an easy task. Something that plays heavily in favor of Jones is that if he receives training camp, and plays since rookie season, he has a high upside, has the size, and great agility and acceleration, a good skew could make him a future star.

Commentary

The final member of Bizarro team defense, the player that flew under radar cause we had a generational talent with Jackson, but Jabril Peppers is very good, personally I gotta say is a player that I wanted for my team, but couldn’t find the right spot for take him, he was high on my list to be drafted at 1.16 when had the pick, so Patriots grabbing him at 1.18 seems as excellent value, what I really like about Peppers is that he offers athleticism with good speed, could use better agi and acc, but my favorite aspect is that he’s smart and only 21 yo, just above mentioned how hard is to develop safeties, at least in my personal experience, and the amount of minimal 99 or even 90+ safeties on the league somehow proves the point too, starting with 66 awr and being only 21 yo, gives peppers the option to become a very progressed safety at some point, and that would make him an special and very valuable player on the league. For this game, he should make an impact being one of the smartest players on the team. I predict that Peppers could be the player that gives Bizarro team the win.
