2018 SFL MOCK DRAFT V1.0 (WAY TOO EARLY MOCK)

1.1- New Orleans Saints- WR D.J. Chark Jr.- LSU
Chark is an absolute stud, at 6'4" he will be the #1 target that the Saints are lacking, he also has some of the best hands in this class and excellent starting football IQ. I can envision Trubisky to Chark for many years to come.

1.2- Arizona Cardinals- CB Charvarious Ward- Middle Tennessee State
It's no secret that the Cardinals GM Scott Gardiner is looking for help in the secondary. Ward to me is the top dawg at this position, he has the ideal size at 6'1" that GM's look for to go along with his exceptional athletic ability which makes him an immediate starter at the position.

1.3- Buffalo Bills- WR Courtland Sutton- SMU
Courtland Sutton is in the same build as Chark who goes 1.1, Suttons skew will depend on this draft spot obviously but at 6'4" he gives young signal caller AJ McCarron a top notch target to throw to. He comes with excellent starting football IQ and above average hands which will make him extremely desirable at the top of this draft.

1.4- Chicago Bears- RB Nick Chubb- Georgia
Chubb is already elite in many of his attributes (CAR/STR/BTK) and will be a wrecking ball in the NFC North at 5'10" 240 lbs. He has the STR to shed tackles with ease and the BTK to bowl right through defenses. RB is a big factor in Chicago and all of them are getting up there in age, I think this is a great fit for him here.

1.5- Cleveland Browns- CB Carlton Davis- Auburn
The Browns add to the secondary and now have a solid corner to pair with Aikens on the outside. His size at 6'1" is what most GM's covet at the position. elite athleticism and he already comes as an above average ball hawk that could start immediately.

1.6- Green Bay Packers- QB Sam Darnold- USC
This would be a great spot for QB Sam Darnold to land, the 20 year old gunslinger has a cannon for an arm, accuracy to boot plus great starting football IQ. His INJ is also 90+ which is great trust me I look at these things now and he offers great size at the position to see over the OL. GM AC can spot start him throughout the season to progress him.

1.7- Kansas City Chiefs- SS J.T. Gray- Mississippi
Gray is an exceptional talent, I'm sure I've said it numerous times on here before but I will not take a S high unless he's a rare talent and we have 2 at the position this year who qualify. His athleticism is game changing, STR to shed tackles, football IQ to locate the ball, elite hands to jump in front of defenders and elite tackling, what's not to like about him?

1.8- Denver Broncos- CB J.C. Jackson- Maryland
I really like Jackson as a prospect, everyone want the 6'0"+ corners but not all of them have the impressive attributes that he has. Exceptional SPD/AGI/ACC , excellent STR, above average football IQ, JMP and an elite tackler. He can start immediately alongside of Gilbert but most likely sloted at NCB year 1.

1.9- Seattle Seahawks- DE Josh Sweat- Florida State
Sweat may not be the most powerful but he has a special set of swim moves capable of beating even the best in the SFL. His SPD is tops in the class, to go with borderline elite burst to get to the QB/RB. His tackling is above average and comes with very good football AWR, he should be plug and play right away.

1.10- New England Patriots- TE Mark Andrews- Oklahoma
Andrews at 6'5" would give QB Derek Carr a very large 6'5" target to throw to especially in the redzone. He's a freak of nature with a blend of size/speed and some of the best hands we've seen in some time. He'll be an immediate starter.

1.11- Denver Broncos- SS Jessie Bates- Wake Forest
Bates is in the same mold as Gray at the position who went a few picks before him. He adds size, he's an elite athlete with blazing speed able to hang with even the best TE's the SFL has to offer. He's an elite ballhawk with excellent tackling and should start day 1.

1.12- Indianapolis Colts- TE Dallas Goedert- South Dakota State
The Colts drafted a TE Gary Barnidge back in the day i believe 9th overall and he was a game changer (I know i inherited him later on) . Goedert hast the same elite traits, unreal SPD/ACC, great hands and decent football awareness and should be the immediate starter at tightend.

1.13- Philadelphia Eagles- OT Brian O'Neill- Pittsburgh
I think the Eagles will focus on the OL, they've already added Pro Bowl G Mike Johsnon (from me) and now add the best OT in this class in O'Neill, at 6'7" he has great size, top notch STR so not many will be able to push him around, almost elite AGI/ACC to go along with the best starting football IQ in this class at OT, an elite pass blocker and average run blocking , he is a plug and play starter able to anchor the OL year 1 at either T spot.

1.14- Atlanta Falcons- DE Bradley Chubb- N.C. State
Chubb looks like he could be a solid DE in this league for years to come, he has a blend of speed (81), his STR sets him apart, allowing him to play in just about any scheme fit and his elite closing speed will allow him to get to the RB and QB with ease.

1.15- Houston Texans- CB Jaire Alexander- Louisville
Alexander is very talented, he doesn't have the 6'+ height that alot of GM's covet but he's solid across the board attribute-wise. Borderline elite SPD/ACC, his AWR is excellent starting off, his CTH and tackling are about on average but could be special either coming in as the NCB or starting on the outside.

1.16- San Diego Chargers- QB Mason Rudolph- Oklahoma State
Mason Rudolph has franchise QB traits with some work, he's 6'5", a rocket arm, average throwing accuracy, he's not a scrambling QB, his AWR will need work but can sit behind mentor Brock Osweiler why he hones his craft.

1.17- Washington Redskins- FS Minkah Fitzpatrick- Alabama State
There are some really solid safety prospects in this class and it fills a need for the Skins, Minkah has excellent size, has excellent athleticism at the position, will contest for JMP balls with ease and an elite tackler. I think he'd be a great fit and could start right away for them.

1.18- San Francisco 49ers- OT Martinas Rankin- Mississippi State
The 49ers OL is starting to get up there in age, Rankin wouldn't have to start immediately but I think he could. He has decent size and could play at either G or T to start out. His calling card is his exceptionally quick feet, able to pull or kick out in the flat for screen passes, his STR is about average and is a solid run and pass blocker.

1.19- New England Patriots- DE Sam Hubbard- Ohio State
Hubbard is another DE in this class who should be a solid fit in any scheme, at 6'5" 271 lbs, excellent speed coming off the edge, brute strength, solid closing speed but will have to work on his football IQ at the SFL level, sadly he has more football IQ already than pick 1.1 Frank Clark still .

1.20- Denver Broncos- WR Tre'Quan Smith- USF
After shoring up the secondary with Bates and Jackson the Broncos give Harnish another young weapon opposite of Waller. Smith has decent size at 6'2", plenty of speed to take it to the house, solid hands and doubles as a KR.

1.21- Green Bay Packers- CB Denzel Ward- Ohio State
Ward doesn't have the prototypical height you want at 5'10" nor does he have blazing speed but what he does have is excellent football knowledge right out of the gate which could be a huge selling point for a team that just lost it's premier corner, He can plug right in next to Baptiste if Amukmura is dealt or as a NCB year 1.

1.22- Kansas City Chiefs- LB Dorian O'Daniel- LSU
I think O'Daniel could go much higher since he's an absolute stud but it was difficult finding him a home but finally lands with the Chiefs and I think they'd be ecstatic with him. An athletic freak of nature as far as pure speed and burst go, his STR will allow him to shed tackles but will have to work on his AWR/TAK at the next level.

1.23- Baltimore Ravens- LB Tremaine Edmunds- Virginia Tech
After not being able to find any LB openings to back to back, both teams benefit as Edmunds is another stud, excellent size, off the charts speed/acceleration combo, average STR and already comes as an elite tackler out of the gate. He should be an immediate plug and play starter from day 1.

1.24- Minnesota Vikings- CB Dane Cruikshank- Arizona
I'm not a real fan of his age (24) but the rest of his attributes are solid skew depend obviously but solid speed/acceleration, great STR, average AWR and a good tackler, he'll be in the mix to start in some capacity, perhaps NCB.

1.25- St. Louis Rams- LB Shaquille Leonard- S.C. State
Leonard would be a welcome addition to the LB core in St.Louis, since they have a few aging players at LB, Leonard would really shore that up since he's very athletic, his STR allows him to shed blockers and above average tackling is what separates him for the rest.

1.26- Tampa Bay Buccaneers- OG Will Hernandez- UTEP
There looks to be some need along the OL for the Bucs, Will hernandez gives them good size at the position, uses his strength and closing speed to nutrilize defenders. He's an above average run and pass blocker also. He should be able to come in as the starter with his skill set.

1.27- San Diego Chargers- WR J'Mon Moore- Missouri
Moore has good size, speed to get by defenders and acceleration to take it to the house on any given play. He could easily fit into the WR group and do some damage right away. he'll have to work on his catching at the SFL level but that is always managable through progression and training camp.

1.28- New York Jets- RB Ronald Jones II- USC
At this point I think Kevin is just collecting depth behind his starters and ROnald Jones seems like an excellent candidate to back up stud Todd Gurley. He's got the size, he's a bruiser who can run or bowl right over you, average CAR and above average BTK plus has some KR ability.

1.29- Cincinnati Bengals- SS Terrell Edmunds- Virginia Tech
Edmunds is perfect timing for the Bengals as both his SS have expiring contracts. Edmunds would immediately fill the starting role , he has the size, very athletic, average hands and a good tackler, and maybe history in the making with 2 brothers going in the same round in the SFL?

1.30- Denver Broncos- DE Marcus Davenport- UTEP
Davenport is a nice blend of size, speed and power rolled into 1, he should have no trouble playing in any scheme although probably better off as a LE. He has the speed to get to the QB and burst/strength to bust through the line and take the RB down as well.

1.31- Dallas Cowboys- WR Michael Gallup- Colorado State
I think just adding solid depth for the Cowboys makes sense since I don't think i see a position where a starter is needed but Gallup with his SPD/CTH and JMP might be a good fit. It's hard to tell with the teams that don't really need anything.

1.32- Tennessee Titans- WR D.J. Moore- Maryland
I'm not sure Moore is the type of WR that GM Shapiro covets since he's only 5'10" but I've ran out of ideas of what position to include and Moore was the last of the WR who i had a 1st round grade on. If he skews upwards he could become an Emmanuel Sanders type of deep threat. He has excellent AWR and average hands.
