AFC East
1.
New York Jets
2.
New England Patriots
3.
Miami Dolphins
4.
Buffalo Bills
Analysis: As much as I want to pick the
New England Patriots to win this division, I haven't seen enough over the past two seasons to trust them with that. Paired with the fact that this
New York Jets roster looks ready to win -- I think this is another season where Kevin Mullendore sits on top. The
Miami Dolphins sink back into the middle of the pack in 2018, while the
Buffalo Bills continue to build toward the future.
AFC North
1.
Baltimore Ravens
2.
Pittsburgh Steelers
3.
Cleveland Browns
4.
Cincinnati Bengals
Analysis: While I think that both the
Pittsburgh Steelers and
Cleveland Browns have the best quarterbacks in the division, I do think the tenacity and completeness of the
Baltimore Ravens will result in another AFC North division title for Norbert Huszti. It kind of sucks putting the
Cincinnati Bengals last, but I'm expecting some growing pains for Jared Goff in his first season without Stanback to support him.
AFC South
1.
Tennessee Titans
2.
Houston Texans
3.
Jacksonville Jaguars
4.
Indianapolis Colts
Analysis: The
Indianapolis Colts have hit the reset button and as such will very likely be the worst team in the division this year. It's not a horrible outcome, just a likely one. That leaves the
Tennessee Titans as the obvious division winners, with the question being who comes in second. I really like this
Houston Texans roster and think they could potentially push for the playoffs. The
Jacksonville Jaguars are not far behind, however.
AFC West
1.
Oakland Raiders
2.
Kansas City Chiefs
3.
Denver Broncos
4.
San Diego Chargers
Analysis: I may be biased, but the AFC West is one of the most, if not the most, competitive divisions in the league. The best roster is the
Oakland Raiders if they can just finally be consistent. I do think the
Kansas City Chiefs will be good again this season and should compete for the playoffs. The
Denver Broncos even have a shot at a 6-seed, despite coming in third. It sucks for my team, but I don't have much confidence in our ability to compete this season, so it may be a long year for the
San Diego Chargers.
