NFC East
1.
Dallas Cowboys
2.
New York Giants
3.
Philadelphia Eagles
4.
Washington Redskins
Analysis: There is no denying that the CHAMPS are still good, so anyone saying the
Dallas Cowboys aren't first in this division are wrong. Doubtful they go 16-1 again, but they should win the division. I'm going with the
New York Giants second as they have a veteran QB now and nobody is better with his back against the wall than Romeo Mendez. The
Philadelphia Eagles and
Washington Redskins take the back of the pack -- these two teams are headed in the right direction, but not there yet.
NFC North
1.
Minnesota Vikings
2.
Detroit Lions
3.
Chicago Bears
4.
Green Bay Packers
Analysis: The
Minnesota Vikings look to be the team to beat this year in the NFC North as I feel Neal's roster has finally hit it's prime. They're a team to be afraid of. I do think the
Detroit Lions' window is still open and could easily push for a Wild Card spot. The
Chicago Bears are good as well, it's more a question of how much playing time sophomore Patrick Mahomes is going to get. Last place is the
Green Bay Packers, per Anthony Cepparulo's assumption, but it's not necessarily an indictment of him -- it's more a testament to how stacked this division is.
NFC South
1.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2.
Atlanta Falcons
3.
New Orleans Saints
4.
Carolina Panthers
Analysis: The
Carolina Panthers have hit the rebuild after winning the division last season -- they're going to come in dead last in this division and may be in contention for the #1 overall pick. The other bad news in the division is the
New Orleans Saints whom have to make the playoffs to save Nathan Jones' position with the team. They're going to make a strong push, but will likely come up short due to the absolute juggernauts that the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be and the
Atlanta Falcons may be.
NFC West
1.
San Francisco 49ers
2.
St. Louis Rams
3.
Arizona Cardinals
4.
Seattle Seahawks
Analysis: The NFC West may very well come down to who is willing to fully embrace the rebuild and who is going to look to win now. I think the answer is dictated above. The
San Francisco 49ers are more likely to sacrifice Josh Allen's progression for an immediate victory, while I expect the
Seattle Seahawks to start Josh Rosen day one. In the middle, I think the
St. Louis Rams will be better than the
Arizona Cardinals, but that's a toss up.
