2002 SMFL Available Rookie Free Agents (week 4)
One of the things veteran GM?s do is talk about youth, especially as it relates to rookies. Let?s face it not many rookies are immediate starters. Quite a bit of times rookies are going to be backups and roster fillers. Also often, it?s cheaper to fill rosters with rookies rather than veterans with higher salaries. With this being said I decided to look at most of the currently available rookie free agents. There could be more rookie free agents that I skipped over or overlooked, if so sorry about that ahead of time.
I?ve tried to mention something positive about the player, yes it was hard at times, lol. Some of these guys have value (at least in my opinion) as backups. Remember, these players will get rookie progression and most, if not all of them would also get sophomore progression as well as be able for training camp, if we do that during the offseason.
