So the other day I was thinking about the average attributes of players really were. We all see trade posts with quotes such as "he has average speed for a WR", "average tackle for a MLB", etc..
Well, what's "average" for players and how do we know this?
Tonight I had a few hours and decided to do my best to answer these questions. I took the following results by comparing all active players on team rosters as of 10/29/19 @ 10 PM. Again, this only accounts for current players on each team's roster. For this reason the averages once rosters are filled will decrease a bit since most of the roster fillers are going to be less than average.
