HB Ben Gay - Broken ribs - 7 weeks
- Mild -

Ben Gay is the change of pace Halfback out of New England, but has not been performing great this season. With 112 attempts, he's only averaging 3.44 YPC. Kevin Faulk, the third string running back has a better average, but a much smaller amount of attempts, so read it what you will. In 2002 his YPC were terrible, and I expect the same if he backs Musa up for the playoffs. However, Ben Gay's performance shouldn't be hard to match by any halfback, so I don't see this as a huge loss.

The Patriots will be picking up another Fullback in free agency, hinting that they plan to follow the Panthers footsteps and get their Fullback involved more in the running game. I imagine the Patriots will still want Moore blocking for Musa, so we'll see if they manage anything from this Fullback signing.

Going with Mild because it's an injury for the rest of the Playoffs, but only Mild because Ben Gay has not had a great performance and should be replaceable.

Texans SS Eric Brown - Broken ribs - Questionable
- Trivial -

Eric Brown has a decent chance to play this week, though I'm not sure how required he's going to be because Gibril Wilson is a great backup at Strong Safety. There is no doubt that Brown is the better player, but if Wilson has to fill in for a week, I don't think that's going to change the outcome of this one. Wilson actually has much better hands than Brown. If Wilson comes down with an interception, this injury could end up helping the Texans.

Going with Trivial. Brown could play, making this injury meaningless, and if not, Wilson is a fine replacement.
