GO ROOKIE...GO!!!

AWARDEE: SS Jerome Carter (KC)

Arizona Cardinals #54 MLB Alfred Fincher has won the SFL 2005 Rookie of the Week Award for his Week 11 performance against the St. Louis Rams. Fincher becomes the third MLB to win the award, after Jordan Beck and Odell Thurman. Fincher got 64% of the votes from the league members leaving other nominees in the dust. Fincher's all around presence on the field in a rivalry game against the Rams was something special to account for the award. Thus he deserves to be named our rookie of the week. This has made the Cardinals become the first team to have 2 different players to win the rookie of the week award. Looks like the all rookie approach by GM Tyler is starting to pay off. Well done, Tyler!
