The #6 seed - schedule and predictions

Remaining Schedule
-----------------------------------------------------
San Diego 8-6

@ #15

vs #31

San Diego currently own the #4 seed courtesy of leading the AFC West. However, the game against the Chiefs could be a winner take all - and the Raiders are still in the game. The Chargers 5-5 conference record could count against them and they lose H2H against the Dolphins but have beaten the Chiefs once already. Beat the Chiefs and they are division winners (own H2H against the Raiders).

Prediction: 9-7

Tennessee 8-6

@ #22

@ #6

Despite their ranking, Miami isnt an easy victory and it will all depend on which team shows up against the Titans. A visit to Jacksonville, who will be fighting for a bye, isn't a game youd want to HAVE to win to make it so Tennessee will ensure they can at least put themselves in position this week.

Prediction: 9-7

Indianapolis 7-7

@ #17

vs #11

Difficult to see Indy doing more than splitting, especially with both Seattle and Arizona still in the mix in the NFC. However, Manning can make magic happen - he's the big wildcard in this.

Prediction: 8-8

Oakland 7-7

@ #31

vs #7

Oakland are on a 4 game slide and missing one of their best CBs. They *should* beat Denver but then face a Giants side who may still be trying to secure the #1 seed. I see a split again here.

Prediction: 8-8

Kansas City 7-7

vs #14

vs #3

The Chiefs are arguably the most in form team, having won 5 of 6. However, they have a couple of key defensive line injuries. Two home games - neither easy - could go either way - I can see arguments for anything from 0-2 to 2-0. I have a sneaky feeling about the Chiefs and can see them winning both.

Prediction: 9-7

Cleveland 7-7

@ #28

vs #26

The Browns secured a key win in Oakland last week - and secured the head to head. They have the easiest finishing schedule but have the lengthiest injury list. I see them winning 1 - maybe 2 - so let's go with that. They need Bledsoe to carry them there.

Prediction: 9-7

Miami 7-7

vs #12

@ #2

The Dolphins have been a huge disappointment this year and the fault lies with GM Roberts. I may be wearing dark tinted glasses but I can't see us winning either game - Titans is maybe 48/52 so could go either way but the Patriots will likely continue their regular season dominance to seal Roberts' worst record since joining the SFL.

Prediction: 7-9

So who gets the #6 seed?
Tennessee, Cleveland and Kansas City or San Diego all end up 9-7 according to the Mystic Mog. Cleveland will have the superior conference record at 9-3 and playoff football will come to Ohio for the first time since forever. Well not in Ohio - the Browns will travel to either New England, Jacksonville or New York. Still, that represents a huge improvement for a talented squad.
