2007 SFL MOCK DRAFT

1.1- Tampa Bay Buccaneers- WR Calvin Johnson- Georgia Tech
No brainer, WR Calvin Johnson also known as Megatron will be the #1 overall pick, a huge target much like Marshall last season with just as much upside.

1.2- Miami Dolphins- LT Joe Thomas- Wisconsin
Thomas could play either OT position in year 1 and be an impact starter right away for the Phins. I wouldn't say this is a no brainer only because he has a capable LT in Pearson right now and Cavka is trying to find his way also so I see why the Phins may want to collect more players instead of making this selection.

1.3- San Diego Chargers- QB Brady Quinn- Notre Dame
You can wait around for Whitehurst to maybe develop or just draft Quinn here who is already more AWR with almost the same attributes but 3 years younger. No other position will make a greater impact on their team and if Anthony can find the right playbook to mask his rookie mistakes then the sky's the limit.

1.4- Baltimore Ravens- WR Robert Meachem- Tennessee
The Ravens have gone downhill since the SB run, Jeff Blakes retirement didn't help either. I know it's crazy putting a guy this high up the draft board with only 58 CTH but Meachem is a burner and they need someone who can take the top off of defenses opposite of fatty Reggie Williams... Meachem is the fastest guy in the draft and at 6'2".

1.5- Chicago Bears- CB Corey Graham- Nicholls State
Graham and Ross are the "it" corners imo of this draft so whichever skews higher I think will be the selection here in Chicago. Al Harris is a glorified S at this point with Lucas soon to be following him. Corey Webster should start in some capacity but I could even see both rookies starting at CB for them this season. Graham has size, STR, off the charts SPD/ACC the only thing that a concern to me is INJ for both he and Ross in the 70's.

1.6- Pittsburgh Steelers- CB Aaron Ross- Texas
I think the Steelers will be ecstatic with either Ross or Graham here, the guy is an absolute beast at 6'1", 77 AWR, wow! He's not as athletic as Graham but has everything else and he has the potential of 95 SPD/96 ACC if things stay the same. That would be a heck of a boost to that secondary.

1.7- Green Bay Packers- WR Dwayne Jarrett- USC
He's a big target for QB Jake Delhomme or maybe Navarre? Either way it gives the Pack a big presence on the outside alongside the midget Laverneous Coles. He stands 6'5" , 210 lbs so he'll be a beast to try and cover in a division of giant WR's.

1.8- Arizona Cardinals- WR Jacoby Jones- Lehigh
Jones is another tall, fast WR with not as stable of hands but would make a dynamic pairing opposite Drew Carter. CB is a need here but I don't see another worthy of this selection.

1.9- Pittsburgh Steelers- S Sabby Piscitelli- Oregon State
The safety position is not a huge position of value especially in the top 10 so the player needs to have off the charts skill to warrant this high of a selection and not only is Piscitelli an athletic freak of nature but he's also a behemoth at the position at 6'3", a tackling machine and will most likely out JMP all WR for the ball. The Steelers really shore up that secondary with 2 picks.

1.10- Dallas Cowboys- LT James Marten- Boston College
The Cowboys need an immediate impact starter here and marten can plug right into the starting LT role right away replacing the 46 AWR Kelly Butler. Marten is smart, athletic, tall, lean, quick on his feet and powerful, he can work on his blocking skills along the way.
