Franchise Facts- NFC-East
This article looks at the histories of the franchises in the SFL's NFC East.
Division Title
2002- Giants
2003- Football Team
2004- Football Team
2005- Giants
2006- Football Team
2007- Cowboys
2008- Eagles
The NFC East is one division where all four teams have at least one division title. The Eagles were the final team to do so in 2008. The last two times the Football Team have won the division they have gone on to win the Super Bowl. So the moral of the story there is don’t let the Football Team win the division if you want to have a chance at the big prize.
Playoff Records
Cowboys- 0-1
Eagles- 0-1
Football Team- 10-4
Giants- 0-2
The NFC East has had some very good years as a division but with the exception of the Football Tea, they’ve not been able to translate that into post-season success yet. I have a feeling that could change in the future. The Football Team’s 10-4 post-season record is absolutely incredible, even more so when you consider they have lost their last two post-season games to the Saints and Rams.
Regular Season Records
Cowboys- 46-66 (2 winning seasons)
Eagles- 53-58-1 (3 winning seasons)
Football Team- 71-41 (6 winning seasons)
Giants- 52-60 (3 winning seasons)
The Football Team, just like the Jets, have 6 winning seasons and the seventh season was a .500 season. Pretty impressive stuff from that organization. The Eagles have won 6 games per season in four of their seven seasons. Despite the relative dominance by the Football Team within the division, the Cowboys and the Football Team are in a tie for the most regular season wins with 12. And the Football Team has only achieved that one time, despite their 71-41 regular season record.
