Analysis: Lower-ranked teams in divisional rivalry games in the playoffs are easy pickings in my opinion. Both the
Kansas City Chiefs and
Tampa Bay Buccaneers should easily get victories on the road against their evenly matched division rivals. I also like the
Baltimore Ravens to advance as I don't think the Jaguars have enough playoff experience. Lastly, you don't bet against the
Washington Redskins in the playoffs unless they're playing the Rams. They advance as well.
Divisional Round

Analysis: We've often talked about first round byes losing -- this last season proved that wrong and I think this season is similar. I would guess that both Tampa Bay and Kansas City push the
St. Louis Rams and
Tennessee Titans in close games (let's say overtime!), but the home team emerges victorious. I also think the
Philadelphia Eagles will be too consistent for the Redskins, despite them being a lower-ranked division opponent. The big surprise is the defending champs losing to the
Baltimore Ravens, but New York has blown some big games in the playoffs and we've never seen back-to-back champs.

Analysis: Baltimore might be good, but in no good conscience can I pick them to the Super Bowl, especially with a very solid
Tennessee Titans team standing in their way. In the NFC, I'm picking the
Philadelphia Eagles to beat the Rams, setting up massive storylines in the Super Bowl.
Super Bowl XLIII

Analysis: The Manning Bowl! Peyton vs. Eli. Eli vs. the team that SPURNED him. This game would be epic. And I'm picking Peyton Manning and the
Philadelphia Eagles to come out on top. Peyton needs at least one ring and he gets it this season before his GM jumps ship to Dallas.
