Let's get right to it, who was hot in week 3 and who was not:

HOT
It was hard for me to decide between Michael Vick and Peyton Manning for (unofficial) player of the week. At first I went with Manning but later changed it to Vick after thinking of how special of a game Vick had.

QB Michael Vick- Pit Steelers
Vick went 17 of 25 passing for a comp rate of 68%, threw for 313 yards, 4 TD's, 0 int's and a QBR of 150.4. In the end the TD to Int ratio and QBR were jus too much to not make him the player of the week as he led the Steelers to a shutout victory against the divisor rival Cincinnati Bengals.

QB Peyton Manning- Phi Eagles
Manning threw for less than a 50% comp rate but did throw for 415 yards, was sacked only one, threw for 5 TD's, 1 int and had a QBR of 118.4. Manning led the Eagles over the KC Chiefs.

TE Gary Barnidge- Phi Eagles
GM Breck continues to get a ton of productivity from his TE. Barnidge caught 5 passes for 143 yards and a TD.

WR Maurice Mann- Phi Eagles
Mann caught 3 passes which may not sound like a lot but totaled 121 yards and a TD.

WR Jon Olinger- Phi Eagles
Yes, four Eagles offensive players made this week's list. Olinger caught 3 passes for 101 yards and a TD. The Eagles receiving corp has a great week. While only 4 players caught passes the overall avg yards per catch between these 4 players was 31.9 yards. Amazing.

CB Bryant Mc Fadden- Phi Eagles
Holy cow! What a week! Mc Fadden made 2 tackles, had 2 int's and had 6, yes 6 deflections!

RB Tatum Bell- KC Chiefs
Bell was on a losing team but I am still giving him a "hot" stat for this week. bell ran 24 times for 150 yards. He failed to score, had a fumble and was on a losing team. Again though, I can him a bit of a pass as those 150 yards were impressive.

RB Musa Smith- Was Redskins
Smith also makes the cut, barely. Smith got things going by rushing 22 times for 126 yards and added a TD in the Redskins win vs the Lions.

QB Drew Brees- St Louis Rams
Brees led the Rams to a victory over the Packers. He went 19 of 31 for a comp rate of 61%, threw for 330 yards, had 3 TD's, 1 int and a QBR of 116.

WR Kevin Walter- St Louis Rams
Walter caught 5 passes for 108 yards and a pair of TD's.

DE Leonard Little- St Louis Rams
Even though he is 35 years of age, Little can still go! Today he posted 3 sacks vs the Packers.

RB Brandon Jackson SF 49'ers
Jackson rushed 29 times for 134 yards and a TD in the 49'ers upset win vs the Vikings. He did have a fumble but we are keeping him on the hot list.

RB Michael Bush- Min Vikings
Bush's team, the Vikings cam up short this week but Bush had 22 carries for 145 yards and a TD.

WR Andrew Caldwell- Min Vikings
Caldwell caught 3 passes in the losing effort but had 170 yards and a TD.

RB Michael Turner- NY Jets
Turner ran 26 times for 157 yards in the Jets win vs the Titans.

WR Steve Smith- NY Jets
Smith caught 6 passes for 133 yards and a TD.

WR Quincy Morgan- Pit Steelers
Morgan was brilliant by catching 6 passes for 148 yards and 2 TD's in the Steelers big 40-0 win.

LB Larry Foote- Pit Steelers
Foote went off today. He had 6 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 forced fumbles, 2 int's, 5 deflections.

LB Buster Davis- Atl Falcons
Davis made 3 tackles and had 2 int's in the Falcons win vs the Patriots.

QB Phillip Rivers- Cle Browns
Rivers came up short in the big divisional game vs the Ravens but we added him here for going 21 of 38 for a comp rate of 55%, 387 yards passing, 4 TD's, 2 int's, 0 times sacked and a QBR of 103.7.

WR Antonio Bryant- Cle Browns
Bryant caught 9 passes for 128 yards and a TD in the Browns week 3 loss.

QB Tyler Thigpen- Bal Ravens
Thigpen had a relevant game to say the least. HE was 17 of 32 for a comp rate of 53%, 256 yards passing, 3 TD', 0 int and a QBR of 110 in the Ravens big win vs the Browns.

WR Mike Williams- Bal Ravens
Williams caught 5 passes for 120 yards and had 2 TD's in the Ravens win.

WR Michael Crabtree- Sea Seahawks
the 1st round pick caught 8 passes and 149 yards in the Seattle Seahawks.

QB Chad Pennington- Oak Raiders
Pennington went 17 of 22 for a comp rate of 77%, 220 yards passing, sacked 0 times, had 3 TD, 0 int and a QBR of an amazing 147.

WR Demetrius Williams- Ind Colts
Williams went against the tough Cardinals secondary. He caught 6 passes for 123 yards and a paid of TD's in the Colts vs the Cards.

WR Maurice Stoval- Car Panthers
Even though the Panthers lost to the undefeated Dallas Cowboys Stoval went wild by catching 8 passes for 162 yards and a TD.

QB Donovan McNabb- Dal Cowboys
McNabb kept the Cowboys perfect by going 11 of 16 for a comp rate of 68%, 183 yards, 0 sacks, 2 TD's, 0 int and a QB of 146.

WR Andre Johnson- Dal Cowboys
Johnson caught 4 passes for 92 yards and had 2 TD's in the Cowboys 1 point victory vs the Panthers.

NOT HOT
QB Carson Palmer- Was Redskins
Palmer is the first NOT HOT player on the list this week. Palmer passed for just 162 yards, had 1 TD but 3 Int's and posted a QBR of only49.5.

QB Aaron Brooke- Det Lions
Brooks was just 9 of 28 for a comp rate of 32%, threw for less than 100 yards (100), 1 TD vs 1 Int and had a QBR of just 40.6.

QB Eli Manning- Ten Titans
Eli could like to forget this loss vs the Jets. He was 5 of 18 for a comp rate of 27%, 50 yards, 0 TD's, 3 TD's and a QBR of 0. (Yes, 0.) Moving on....

QB Tom Brady- NE Patriots
"Tom Terrific" was anything but that today. While his comp rate was over 50% he was intercepted 3 times and had a QBR of just 43.5 in the Pats loss.

QB Matt Leinart- TB Bucs
Leinart came in for the injured Marc Bulger after Bulger threw just 1 pass. Leinart was 9 of 29 for a comp rate of 31%, threw for 112 yards, 0 TD, 2 int's and a QBR of just 15.3

QB Alex Smith- Sea Seahawks
Smith did not fare too well vs the Bears. He went 15 of 34 for a comp rate of 44%, 213 yards, was sacked 3 times, had 0 TD, 2 int and a QBR of 40.4.

QB Charlie Whitehurst- Mia Dolphins
Whitehurst was 10 of 26 passing for a comp rate of 38%, 168 yards, was sacked 7 times, had 1 TD, 3 int's and a QBR of 34.3 in the Dolphins loss to the Chargers.

RB Brandon Jacobs- Mia Dolphins
Jacobs continue to struggle. He ran 15 times for 65 yards which is not a bad average but he was kept out of the end zone and had a fumble.

QB Ben Roethlisbergr-Den Broncos
Big Ben was a dud this week as he went 7 of 25 for a comp rate of 28%, just 57 yards, yes, just 57 yards passing, 0 TD, sacked 3 times, 1 int and a QBR of 22.
