This article looks at the histories of the franchises in the SFL's NFC West.

Division Titles
2002- Rams
2003- 49ers
2004- 49ers
2005- Cardinals
2006- Seahawks
2007- Cardinals
2008- Rams
2009- Cardinals

The NFC West is one of those rare divisions where all four teams tend to be very competitive each year. All four have had their turn as division champs in 8 seasons. And with the exception of the Seahawks, all the teams have won the division at least twice. Additional this is the only division to have more than one team win a Super Bowl. So this is a big time division in the SFL.

Playoff Records
49ers- 1-2
Cardinals- 6-3
Rams- 9-3
Seahawks- 0-2

The NFC West is also a juggernaut when it comes to the post-season with a combined record of 16-10. The Rams and Cardinals lead the way with 9-3 and 6-3 records respectively. The Rams are particularly destructive in the post-season. It’s safe to say they are the team you least want to face.

Regular Season Records
49ers- 66-62 (2 winning seasons)
Cardinals- 65-63 (5 winning seasons)
Rams- 70-58 (5 winning seasons)
Seahawks- 59-69 (2 winning seasons)

The Rams have been a model of stability in the SFL. They have never lost double digit games in a season. They are one of the few teams to be able to say that. Incidentally both the Jets and Football Team have never had a below .500 record in a season which is unbelievably consistent. Back to the NFC West, the Cardinals are on 5 season streak of above .500 records. So both the Rams and Cardinals are showing their strength in this league. Also impressive is that three of the four teams in the division have above .500 records. And the Seahawks are not at the bottom of the SFL either.

Kurt Warner, formerly of the Rams, owns the record for most passing attempts in a single game with 61 against the Giants in week 1 of the 2003 season. Drew Brees, currently of the Rams, is in 5th place in the same category throwing 57 times against the Seahawks in week 3 of the 2008 season.

They both did this against the Eagles in the 2008 playoffs. Aeneas Williams who is tied for 3rd accomplished 5 deflections against the Football Team in the 2002 playoffs.
