DRAFT DAY STEALS: ROUNDS 1-2
By Brad Barber

Here are some draft day steals.... This has been an awesome draft, lots of trades, nobody is having a bad day and here are some prospects I thought were steals where they were selected in the 1st 2 rounds. If your opinions differ or you think I've left someone out feel free to mention your favorite picks below.

1.11 ILB Pat Angerer
Pat was one of my favorite prospects in this draft class, I obviously didn't do a workout on him but I thought for sure he'd be a top 5 pick. I'm assuming this is a 3-4 defensive front, with his athletic ability, strength to shed tackles and his tackling ability he could really be a nightmare to game plan against.

1.13 TE Rob Gronkowski
This was a great draft for the TE position as there were 3 real good ones but 2 of them were elite imo at 6'6" 260 lbs Gronk has unbelieveable athletic ability , his CTH isn't as polished as Gresham but he is going to be an absolute stud for the Browns and rest of the AFC North.

1.14 TE Jermaine Gresham
As the Browns took Gronk the Bengals come right back and take the other 6'6" 260 lbs athlete in Jermaine Gresham which I think came off the board 2nd because of his age and the new regression rule that will kick in a few seasons from now but you really couldn't go wrong either way. I also liked Graham alot but he wasn't nearly the athlete as these 2.

1.26 OLB Navorro Bowman
I previously thought Bowman would almost definitely go in the top 15 so to fall almost to the 2nd round is great value for the Raidas. I'm not sure what his workout was but he looks like a hell of a bargain this late, he's a bit undersized at 6'1" 232 lbs. but if his physical attributes stay the same or skew upwards then what a steal here for Garth.

2.4 DE Mike Neal
I can't remember all of his attributes from his private workout that Brady showed on discord but I know he did well, he wont be starting over English but still was a great value.

2.6 Mike Johnson
I don't normally put a G on any list but I had 1 G I would have taken in this whole draft class and that was Mike Johnson. Some had decent blocking but no athletic ability but Johnson has the athletic ability to go along with the blocking.

2.7 MLB Brandon Spikes
The Eagles get a real stud here with Spikes who is blessed with 3-4 size but athletic ability of a 4-3 LB so I'm assuming after Darryl said he had a real good workout that his attributes either stayed the same or went up, either way this is a great value pick and should really help out that LB core.

2.18 LT Trent Williams
I had this guy mocked as high as 1.6, even as is I think Williams is a stud, he isn't the super athlete that Okung is but to land him in the middle of the 2nd to me was a great get. STR, above average athleticism and excellent blocking makes this a bargain also.

2.27 MLB Sean Lee
I think I may have made a mistake taking Triplett over Lee who looks like another athlete, solid in pass coverage, an above average tackler. I think if he skews upward in any of the physical attributes I'll really be kicking myself . I wasn't a fan of his lower STR but that was about the only thing I didn't like.

2.30 RB Jonathan Dwyer
Dwyer looks like he could be an excellent back in this league for many years, I'm not sure if he'll ever start for the Panthers since they have Lynch but it was still a great value pick. I'll assume he has about the same physical attributes as the RB I took afterwards but his STR sets him apart from Dixon imo, solid draft so far for the Panthers and GM Leonard Henry.
