By Norbert Huszti
Special to sfl-football.com

In this article, I will summarize the Best Under 25 years old players. These players are the best in my eyes, I selected them with my evaluation system. I did not check potential value or stats. These players are already starters. (Hopefully)

QB

QB Brady Quinn

HT: 6'4"
WT: 231 lbs.
AGE: 25
COLLEGE: Notre Dame

DRAFTED: 1.3 ’07 by Chargers

He is currently the best under 25 years old QB of the league. He lead the Chargers to the Super Bowl in 2007.

Key attributes: 84 AWR, 91 THP, 99 THA

QB Andre Woodson
HT: 6'4"
WT: 229 lbs.
AGE: 24
COLLEGE: Kentucky

DRAFTED: 3.28 ’08 by Jets

He is currently the second-best under 25 years old QB in the league. He is still developing, it will be his third season in the league.

Key attributes: 80 AWR, 95 THP, 83 THA

HB

HB Matt Forte

HT: 6'1"
WT: 217 lbs.
AGE: 25
COLLEGE: Tulane

DRAFTED: 1.11 ’08 by Raiders

He is currently the best under 25 years old HB in the league. Tall and almost at my ideal, 230 lbs. For me, his 94 ACC and 91 SPD are enough.
I know people will mention how come Clifton Smith is not on the list. Well, for me he is way too small. 190 lbs are just not enough.

Key attributes: 76 STR, 94 ACC, 84 CAR, 89 BTK

HB Brandon Jackson

HT: 5'11"
WT: 216 lbs.
AGE: 25
COLLEGE: Nebraska

DRAFTED: 2.6 ’07 by 49ers

He is currently the second-best under 25 years old HB in the league. He is really close to HB Forte in terms of skills. Actually, he is better. The 77 BTK and 70 CAR are too low and below the level, I would want.

Key attributes: 82 STR, 93 ACC, 70 CAR, 77 BTK

Worth mentioning: HB Clifton Smith, HB Ryan Matthews.

WR

WR James Hardy

HT: 6'5"
WT: 217 lbs.
AGE: 24
COLLEGE: Indiana
DRAFTED: 1.2 ’08 by Dolphins

He is currently the best under 25 years old WR in the league. Incredible combination of skills. He will be a beast for a long time coming. I value his height a lot. His 96 SPD makes him really dangerous.
Key attributes: 96 SPD, 91 ACC, 91 AGI, 86 CTH

WR Jordy Nelson

HT: 6'2"
WT: 217 lbs.
AGE: 24
COLLEGE: Kansas State

DRAFTED: 1.1 ’08 by Steelers

He is currently the second-best under 25 years old WR in the league. It was a hard decision but I like him a lot.

Key attributes: 98 SPD, 94 ACC, 96 AGI, 90 CTH

WR Robert Meachem

HT: 6'2"
WT: 210 lbs.
AGE: 25
COLLEGE: Tennessee

DRAFTED: 1.1 ’08 by Cardinals

He is currently the third-best under 25 years old WR in the league. Really hard decision to put him behind Jordy Nelson but his 37 STR and 77 CTH were decisive.
Key attributes: 99 SPD, 99 ACC, 92 AGI, 77 CTH

TE

TE Gary Barnidge

HT: 6'6"
WT: 244 lbs.
AGE: 25
COLLEGE: Louisville

DRAFTED: 1.6 ’08 by Eagles

He is currently the best under 25 years old TE in the league. No surprise here. Big and fast guy. He already has 72 AWR and 85 CTH which combined with his size makes him a really solid TE.

Key attributes: 88 SPE, 89 ACC, 86 AGI, 85 CTH

TE Jared Cook

HT: 6'5"
WT: 242 lbs.
AGE: 23
COLLEGE: S.Carolina

DRAFTED: 1.7 ’09 by Colts

He is currently the second-best under 25 years old TE in the league. He is a little bit smaller and has less AWR than Barnidge otherwise pretty similar.

Key attributes: 88 SPE, 89 ACC, 86 AGI, 86 CTH

OL

RT Joe Thomas

HT: 6'8"
WT: 313 lbs.
AGE: 25
COLLEGE: Wisconsin

DRAFTED: 1.1 ’07 by Buccaneers

He is currently the best under 25 years old OL in the league. He is my favorite player from the offense side of this list. Crazy talent. There is not a single weakness. His AWR is ’only’ 72 but he has 5 years until regression.

Key attributes: 98 STR, 80 ACC, 76 AGI, 72 AWR, 99 RBK 97 PBK

LG Andy Levitre

HT: 6'2"
WT: 305lbs.
AGE: 24
COLLEGE: Oregon State
DRAFTED: 1.16 ’09 by Browns

He is currently the second-best under 25 years old OL in the league. Hard decision because Monroe and Ugoh were on my list as well. Levtire’s 99 STR and 79 ACC made him the second-best OL on the list.

Key attributes: 99 STR, 79 ACC, 73 AGI, 73 AWR, 87 RBK 85 PBK

And that’s it. I should make the defensive side in the next few weeks as well.
