NFC East
1.
New York Giants
2.
Philadelphia Eagles
3.
Dallas Cowboys
4.
Washington Redskins
Analysis: What's that? He's GONE!? SHOUT PRAISES WE ARE FREE! Except now, they is a new threat lurking in the shadows -- the
New York Giants brought in Philip Rivers and have to be considered favorites to win the division. The
Philadelphia Eagles also look quite competitive after moving on from the erratic Peyton Manning. What's left is the great rivalry of the
Dallas Cowboys and
Washington Football Team who look a little worse for wear...I'm going with Dallas to be better, but it's close.
NFC North
1.
Minnesota Vikings
2.
Detroit Lions
3.
Chicago Bears
4.
Green Bay Packers
Analysis: I think there are three
very good teams in the NFC North. As much as I would love to pick the
Chicago Bears to repeat or the
Detroit Lions to follow through on their fantastic start to the 2009 campaign, nobody looked better than the
Minnesota Vikings down the stretch last year and I think they may have won the Super Bowl had they made the playoffs. After those three teams, however, we have the
Green Bay Packers who don't seem to have an identity.
NFC South
1.
Atlanta Falcons
2.
New Orleans Saints
3.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
4.
Carolina Panthers
Analysis: This division belongs to the
Atlanta Falcons and it's not even a debate. They scratched by last year and got better this offseason. In second place, I'm going with the consistent pick of the
New Orleans Saints. While I think the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers are starting to look like a team that Emperor Palpatine will succeed with, there are still too many holes and the Saints have consistently been a solid 8-8 squad. Last place is the
Carolina Panthers. I've picked them too high too many times to trust them anymore.
NFC West
1.
San Francisco 49ers
2.
St. Louis Rams
3.
Arizona Cardinals
4.
Seattle Seahawks
Analysis: I've been wanting to do this for seasons, but 2009 Kyle Orton has given me the courage to do so -- the
San Francisco 49ers win the NFC West! I think the division will be extremely competitive, but I like San Francisco to finally pull it off again. I have the
St. Louis Rams second, but it could easily be the
Arizona Cardinals -- Arizona GM Apolo Shapiro seems more focused on moving to a new team next year and I think his squad will suffer in 2010. Last place is the
Seattle Seahawks who can always win some big games, but I don't think this is their year.
