Wild Card Weekend

Analysis: There are some quality matchups in this Wild Card round. I do think the
Cincinnati Bengals take care over business against the Chiefs and that the
New Orleans Saints remind GM Bryan Mellon that he's no quite there yet. As for "not quite there yet", the Colts will fall to a superior
New York Jets squad and the
St. Louis Rams will continue to be a thorn in the side of the Redskins.
Divisional Round

Analysis: The
Oakland Raiders window may be closing and I think they take advantage of it, dispatching the Jets who are still rebuilding a tad. The
Detroit Lions do the same, continuing their miracle season by taking out the defending Super Bowl champs. The
Cincinnati Bengals will prove too much for a Bills team that is just happy to be here and the
New Orleans Saints continue to prove that consistency will beat out massive organizational changes from teams they face.

Analysis: That's right -- I'm predicted the
Detroit Lions to make the Super Bowl. It may be all the Nyquil speaking, but I think we're due for another miracle season (similar to the Saints/Chargers Super Bowl) and Detroit is the team I have penciled. On the other side, I think the
Oakland Raiders make it back to another Super Bowl.
Super Bowl XLIII

Analysis: Dreams fall short. They did when the Chargers made the Super Bowl. They fall short here for the Motor City. The
Oakland Raiders are the far superior team and they finally win the championship that GM Garth Pearce has long-chased and just missed out on in the past.
