QB Blaine Gabbert 3.24 Drafted by New Orleans Saints
Blaine Gabbert is a very interesting quarterback because he’s only 20 years old. It means he has 10 years before he hits his firts regression, the situation with hi mis that he has a low awr and is an scramble QB. Meaning for him to have sucess Saints would need to spend 100k AP and to suffer multiple seasons of misery before he can win games. Is that something Saints want t olive already having a solid QB. I doubt it. .
HB Mikel Leshoure 1.24 Drafted by New Orleans Saints
Mikel Leshoure was completely ignored during mock drafts because Daniel Thomas, but Leshoure skewed really well and looks really really good. He’s fast, strong and have 82 btk. Saints are a team that like to run the ball and know how to do it, meaning Mikel is set to have a succesfull career at SFL. It’ll be interesting to compare Thomas vs Leshoure in some seasons, Saints got an steal here. .
WR Tandon Doss 1.19 Drafted by Philadelphia Eagles
Tandon Doss after some boost is set to be a 6”3 98 speed WR, (He already received 1 boost). The fact a WR of his caliber was drafted at 1.19 is a signo f how good draft class was, specially at WR. Eagles follow the best player available philosophy and end with a top athlete. His awr could be better, so my prediction with Doss is that he’s going to be a burner on Deep routes and a very succesful player. .
WR Greg Little 2.9 Drafted by New York Jets
Anothers 6”3 WR, and is interesting in a very solid WR Class there were 22 spots between Doss and Little. Jets decided to go with size over some of the speedsters available. Little has the size, but he’s also strong at 69 str and with 214 pounds. Probably the biggest question mark at Little are the 52 awr + 68 cth. Only time will tell how he’ll do, after all some 99 awr 99 cth wr also have drops. .
WR Titus Young 2.16 Drafted by Atlanta Falcons
Falcons grabbed a legit speedster with Titus Young. He should be 99-99-99 without a big investment. Considering he was drafted mid 2nd, with a pick acquired using 2 3rds, Titus young is amazing value pick for Falcons. He’s also 22 years old so at least have 8 years without regression. It’ll be interesting to compare his career with 1.1 pick Jonathan Baldwin, they both start with 99 speed but comes with 6 inches diffence. Maybe a good situation to find an answer for the questions: Does size matters? . .
TE Jordan Cameron 1.17 Drafted by New England Patriots
Jordan Cameron was pre-skew the best Tight End, he was drafted #2 because his PW wasn’t the best and Donell improved. But don’t let that fool you, Jordan Cameron is a 6”5 – 86 spd 85 agi 86 acc. He’s extremely Athletic, biggest concern comes at 52 awr – 68 catch. But i don’t think that’ll be a factor, and Cameron should have a prolific career with Patriots and final years of Brady. .
OL John Moffitt 1.32 Drafted by Carolina Panthers
John Moffit was the last player taken at 1st round, he’s a complete stud with block skills. But he has 2 big red flags, he’s 24 years old and only have 49 awr. If he’s a starter day one and all his progression points are invested direct in AWR he can have a succesful career. I do believe that Moffitt can be a reference point for future drafts. Specially on the way we’ll value 24 years old players. .
OL Byron Stingly 2.7 Drafted by New York Jets
Kevin Mullendore have an special eye for incredible athletes than need some love, Byron Stingly is a complete steal at 2.7 he’s 68 spd with a 91 str that can be easily progressed with TC + Rookie and Sophomore progression. He needs progression at his awr and block skills, but with that speed-acc, he can be considered an stud. .
OL Nate Solder 2.10 Drafted by New York Giants
Nate Solder is considered a legend at pvp leagues, his body size made him being a pancake machine. Now this is a different format so should be valued different. Anyway, he’s a 6”9 OL with very good speed-acc, and he’s more polished than the rest of Rookies. His 88 str maybe was the reason he fall, but personally is not something that worry me, and as said with Stingly, it can be progressed. .
OL Derek Sherrod 2.12 Drafted by Green Bay Packers
Sherrod is another fantastic OL, he’s Athletic but polished at same time, he’s 22 years old. Sherrod can be considered as one of the most complete OL on the class. I don’t find anything bad at him, there’s other players that beat him at specific attributes, but Derek is trully complete. Sometimes balance is the best way to go. Fantastic pick by Packers. .
C Stefen Wisniewski 2.14 Drafted by Dallas Cowboys
Stefen is probably the best Center of the class, he’s very Athletic and have high block skills, his awr can be progressed with time and patience. Compared to previous drafts, the position was a bit weaker in comparison. Cowboys grabbed a very solid player here. .
DE Robert Quinn 1.31 Drafted by Houston Texans
Robert Quinn was the most balanced defensive end in Athletic atributes, he’s somehow fast and strong. He needs to progress a really low tackle and awereness. But the fact he’s only 21 years old gives him a good margin for it. Quinn was probably the safest pick at Defensive Line, he has all the attributes for being a consistent player. .
DE Karl Klug 2.27 Drafted by Cincinnati Bengals
Almost an entire round later we have Karl Klug. He’s not spectacular but at only 21 years old and next year being 80 spd he has starter potential. Bengals are a team known for draft good defensive talent and if they drafted Klug is because he’s a good player. .
DT Phill Taylor 2.19 Drafted by Carolina Panthers
Phill Taylor was the best pure DT, he comes with an impressive body frame of 6”4 355. A very high acc of 78 and high tak of 81. His low spd and str can be tricky, with his size and position he won’t need impressive speed, and his str can be progressed to around 90. At 2.19 panthers made a fantastic pick. Phill drafted Phill . .
OLB Mason Foster 1.16 Drafted by Cleveland Browns
Mason Foster is a player im sure everybody going to track his performance week per week. He’s probably one of the most interesting prospects ever, with everything being stud and at only 20 years old, he felt to 1.16 because his size_ 6”0 – 200. Will that be enough? I have my own theory, i consider size and str have somehow a correlation, meaning he won’t be as stronger as an 85 str heavier player, but his str going to help him with his size. My prediction for Mason Foster: He’s going to be one of the best players from this class. .
OLB Jonas Mouton 2.4 Drafted by Carolina Panthers
I was surprised when saw Mouton at 2.4, not because he lacks quality but because he was a ghost during all the pre-draft talk. And Panthers may found a gem here, he’s fast with an Elite acceleration. His 51 awr and 74 tak are not very good, but his Athletic conditions should help him to become an impact player. .
MLB Kelvin Sheppard 1.22 Drafted by New York Giants
Romeo Mendez hit a homerun here, is clear Kris White was the #1 MLB, but Giants grabbed an elite player at 1.22, part ofi t have relation with the fact most teams already feel comfortable with their current MLB Situation, but Sheppard is elite, he’s a phsical stud but he’s also Smart and progressed. He should be considered as an earlier candidate for DPOY, i doubt many rookies going to have as inmediate impact as Sheppard. .
CB Chimdi Chekwa 1.10 Drafted by Buffalo Bills
I nicknamed him as Chewbacca during mock draft and if Bills ok i’ll keep naming him that way in all future articles, Chewie is a fantastic CB, he was taken as the 4th CB of the class, but he’s a top player. He can reach 98 speed with some AP investment and he already have a high acc. His 53 awr is low but can be worked, Brandon changed McCauley for Chewie, that’s a winner move. .
CB Patrick Peterson 1.21 Drafted by Houston Texans
Peterson wasn’t as atractive as other studs CB, but he’s really well balanced, he reminds a Little bit to CB Aqib Talib with les agi and acc. But 1 inch taller, he only 21 years old and already have 60 awr, good catch and tackle. Peterson was probably the most complete CB of the class. .
CB Chris Cullver 1.23 Drafted by Oakland Raiders
Cullver is a player that flew under the radar, but Raiders grabbed a CB with really good speed, acc and size. He comes with only 22 years something that should help to compensate the 53 awr. With how CB position is in a high demand guarantee a good one via draft is almost always a need for all teams. .
S Robert Sands 2.2 Drafted by Cincinnati Bengals
Once projected a 1.10 in multiple mocks including community one, Sands felt to 2.2 and became the thirs safety picked. Someone could argue his str 50 and awr 56 are low, he’s not an stud at 87 spd 88 agi 88 acc. But al lof that is completely erased by the fact he’s 6”4. As mentioned earlier Bengals are a team that know how to draft defense. .
S Chirs Prosinski 2.30 Drafted by Cleveland Browns
Almost a round later browns picked the 4th safety of the draft, now being chris prosinski. His best attributes are 6”1 88 spd and only 22 years old. That 51 awr is something that could worry a defense cordinator specially vs PA. Only time will tell how well he does with Browns. .
And those were Bizarro Team players, game should be streamed soon. Sadly couldn’t get 2 volunteers for act as coaches, so doing lineups and gameplans by myself using some of the most used playbooks and %.
