Week 2

~ This week’s write up will stay away from the fact that numerous games needed to be replayed... it happens! Compliments to the Commissioner and Broadcasters - it was quickly addressed and handled beautifully. ~

Did You Know?
That the Washington Redskins while being led by GM Bryan Mellon NEVER started the season 2-0??? This was a claim BOLDLY made by GM William Cook on discord - and I'll simply say, William Cook, you sir are FAKE NEWS!
~ Check season 2002 ~

Hot Seat Watch [3-3]
BUF [1-0] – Wins 22-20 against the Oakland Raiders - a team that finished atop the AFC West last season. Offensively, the Bills were led by a reliable signal caller in QB Jake Delhomme [QB rating of 92.5] and contributions from HB DeShaun Foster [105 yards & TD] and WR Walter Young [115 yards and a TD].

PIT [2-0] – Wins 17-16 against the Seattle Seahawks... the Steelers nearly doubled the Seahawks in first downs and dominated the time of possession battle. Once again QB Michael Vick was a reliable through the air [QB rating of 81.4] and on the ground [6 carries for 55 yards and a TD]. The biggest contribution to winning the time of possession came from HB Lendale White [24 carries for 119 yards and a TD]. Defensively the Steelers held HB Stewart and WR Green to under 100 yards and scoreless.

DAL [0-2] – Losses 31-36 against the San Fransisco 49ers… another season with the Cowboys struggling to get out of the gate. The 49ers didn't win this game as much as much as the Cowboys lost it... QB Donovan McNabb was picked off 4 times and HB Clifton Smith lost a fumble.

DET – Wins 27-21 against a Kansas City Chiefs team trying to discover their identity. The connection of QB Sam Bradford [23 of 34 for 311 yards and 3 TDs] to WR Dezmon Biscoe [9 catches for 157 yards and 2 TDs] is going to cause headaches all season for opposing defenses.

SF – Wins 36-31 and send the Cowboys home licking their wounds. The defense was opportunistic [4 INTs and a fumble recovery] which allowed the offense to dominate the time of possession.

SEA – Losses 14-17 to the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road. The Seahawks struggled to get anything going offensively and only made into RedZone territory once (which they scored). It'll be interesting to see which offensive out comes next week?
