#1 Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears defeated their divisional rival Detroit Lions in convincing fashion [20-3]. Offensively the Bears let HB Cedric Cobbs do the HEAVY lifting [29 carries for 160 yards and a TD] while the defense frustrated QB Sam Bradford all day [collected 5 sacks].
#2 Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles defeated a solid Buffalo Bills team on a late [1:14 remaining in the 4th QTR] TD pass by Byron Leftwich to WR Vincent Brown [46 yard strike]. An impressive showing by SS Chad Jones with 5 tackles, 2 INTs (and a TD) with 3 deflections.
#3 New England Patriots
The New England Patriots defeated their divisional rival New York Jets with a come from behind 4th QTR… the 15 points the Patriots scored in the 4th was capped off by a 31 yards TD pass from QB Tom Brady to WR Bobby Wade with :48 seconds remaining.
#4 Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts fell behind early [down by 14 as the 1st QTR ended]… but were able to defeat the Eli Manning led Kansas City chiefs thanks to 4 turnovers. The Colts turned to K Mike Vanderjagt who was 5 of 5 on FG and kicked the game winner as time expired.
#5 Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers defeated the winless Atlanta Falcons by a score of 20-16… in the end, it came down to the fact the Packers made fewer mistakes (the Falcons held HB Adrian Peterson under 100 yards).
#6 Washington Redskins
The Washington Redskins had a BYE week to get healthy and prepare to host the undefeated Philadelphia eagle this upcoming week… one of these two teams will likely climb the SFL Power Rankings while the other plumets.
#7 Arizona CardinalsBills
The Arizona Cardinals wasted HB Darren McFadden’s return from injury and outstanding day [20 carries for 187 yards and 3 TDs] by allowing the Minnesota Vikings to control the Time of Possession [Vikings had the ball nearly 60% of the game].
