Week 5
The undefeated and winless continue their winning and losing ways! How long will we have three [3] teams undefeated and three [3] teams looking for their first victory?
Chicago bears: 5-0
Indianapolis Colts: 5-0
Philadelphia Eagles: 5-0
Atlanta Falcons: 0-5
Cincinnati Bengals: 0-5
New York Giants: 0-5
I would suspect, at some point we’ll see a few teams begin selling off assets… surprisingly, that hasn’t kicked in yet (there was only one trade to be processed following week 5 and none of the above teams were involved).
Did You Know?
This week’s “Game of the Week” has the Philadelphia Eagles visiting the Washington Redskins… the series favors the Redskins who are 11-7 against their divisional rival [8 of those games were decided by 7 or less points]. The GM’s for these teams are fairly new in their role [Brad Barber is 5-0 while Bill Ryan is 9-11]… head to head, Bill Ryan has never lost to Brad Barber [3-0]. This game has the #1 offense [Eagles] facing the #1 defense [Redskins]. Both teams have had success stopping the run, so I think we can all look forward to an aerial attack and likely high scoring affair.
Hot Seat Watch [15-14]
BUF [3-2] – Lost to the Eagles... no shame here, the Eagles are undefeated and on an incredible roll.
PIT [2-3] – Lost to the Titans... after starting 2-0, the Steelers are now on a 3 game losing streak.
DAL [2-2] – BYE week... the Cowboys face the New England Patriots and will look to continue their winning ways [they have won their last 2 games].
DET [2-3] – Lost to the Bears... the Lions failed to show up for their divisional game against the undefeated Bears, the Lions will need to right the ship against the 49ers or the season will be in question sooner than later.
SF [3-2] – Wins against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers… will this be another week where Orton and Rice put up HUGE numbers facing the Lions?
SEA [3-2] – Wins against the Giants... the Seahawks over came a dreadful day by QB Alex Smith [5 INTs]. A BYE week maybe gives Smith time to forget his poor play?
