#1 Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles finally lost… to, “Da Bears” – and now there are no undefeated teams in the SFL. There no shame in the loss, the Bears are a quality squad sitting at 6-2. After a slow start to the season, QB Byron Leftwich has played extremely well and the Eagles are flying HIGH!
#2 Indianapolis Colts
Some might have questioned the Colts legitimacy after losing to the 0-5 Bengals… but since, a 3 game win streak have many believing the Colts are for real. The offense is well balanced and the defense has a knack for creating turnovers [ranked #1 in the SFL].
#3 Chicago Bears
A quality win against the formerly undefeated Eagles was a nice way to end a 2 game skid! Da Bears will temporarily put the QB rotation on hold as Erik Ainge nurses a bruised shoulder, veteran signal caller Matt Hasselbeck will gladly take over the role of handing off to HB Cedric Cobbs.
#4 New England Patriots
The 5 game win streak came to an end at the hand of QB Philip Rivers and his New York Giants. It’ll be critical that QB Tom Brady and his Patriot get right quickly, they face their divisional rival New York Jets and can’t afford to go on a losing streak now.
#5 Arizona Cardinals
Riding a 3 game win streak following the victory over the defending Super Bowl Champs… things aren’t getting any easier for the Cardinals who now must visit Philadelphia the MIGHTY Eagles. The Cardinals are in good hands with QB Rex Grossman [highest QB rtg in the SFL].
#6 Buffalo Bills
The team has been a bit Hot-Cold-Hot and when they win the games seem to be nail bighters (their 5 victories have been by a combined 11 points)… but at 5-3 they are challenging for the divisional title and an invite to post season play.
#7 San Fransisco 49ersCardinalsBills
The San Francisco 49ers fell last week to the Washington Redskins and will need a bounce back game if they intend to continue their chase for the divisional title (1 game behind the Cardinal’s)… expect QB Kyle Orton & WR Sidney Rice to show up BIG against the Giants!
#8 Oakland Raiders
Since the slow start to the season [1-3] you’d be hard pressed to find a hotter team right now [riding a 4 game win streak]. The Raiders & Broncos both sit at 5-3, but the 3-0 divisional record favors the Raiders heavily and will like factor in toward the end of the season.
#9 Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos are still feeling the sting of last week’s lost to the Raiders and now no longer hold the destiny of the season in their own hands. After last week’s trade of STUD HB Steven Jackson some are wondering if this team is in it to win or not (in Dwyer we trust?).
#10 Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars saw their 4 game win streak come to an end last week and now face the Indianapolis Colts this week (who have a 2.5 game lead in the division)… a MUST win, if they intend to contend for the divisional title. ~ Somehow this was not declared Game of the Week? ~
