First off it was a blast once again hanging with you all, busting chops and just shooting the shit. I might seem like a tool to some but it's always all in fun and I never mean any harm (COWBOYS SUCK). I think everyone improved their rosters that actually picked in the 1st round.
1.5- WR Josh Gordon
I had Josh Gordon not only rated as the #1 player on my board but the #1 player in this draft slightly ahead of Kuechly due to the position value of the ILB position, not everyone will agree and that's fine but this is how I had them ranked on MY board. To get the player I originally slated to go #1 overall in my first mock at #5 is exceptional value there and i have no doubt he'll be QB Mark Sanchez' top guy right out of the gate.
1.5- QB Chandler Harnish
I loved the fact all these QB's got drafted, this is right up my alley as I've always enjoyed drafting and developing young QB's. I liked every QB that was taken in this round, not 1 of them were a reach imo but I had Harnish as the clear cut #1 QB in this draft with only 2 knocks on him... Obviously is his 6'0" stature going to be an issue? I know Drew Brees has won a SB here but he is the only QB 6'0" tall that I can recall ever being successful and the 2nd knock I had... does that 82 INJ skew upwards or at least stay the same? If it skews downward then I'm having nightmarish Brian Brohm vibes where he's knocked out of the game every other QTR.
1.13- TE Coby Fleener
I love this pickup by the 9ers here, what a great player they get. He's going to be a nightmare for the rest of the NFC West I guarantee it! He'll be a mismatch in every game and add him to the mix of WR's Todd Watkins, Sidney Rice and Malcolm Kelly, this is going to be a scary group.
1.5- CB Josh Norman
I know some GM's may have preferred Josh Robinson over Josh Norman due to the age difference and I'm not sure if either players private workouts were mentioned on discord but as it stand I had Norman rated as the 3rd CB on my board after Hayward and Stephon Gilmore. I prefer the height of Norman plus like I said as it stands they're fairly equal in the SPD department.
1.19- TE Michael Egnew
Outstanding pickup here by the Lions and although he skews down a bit in SPD to 85 my suggestion would be to write a few articles, use the activity points on his SPD and bump it to 87 right away, by next year he'll have similar attributes as our very own TE Gary Barnidge who has been nothing but a beast for this team since being drafted 6th overall and you get a similar player at 1.19? Man that is outstanding value. This is why I would have loved to see Scott take a WR #1 overall, imagine Josh Gordon or Alshon Jeffery with Dezmon Briscoe and this monster?
1.20- DE Malik Jackson
As you can tell I was a fan of Tom Collins draft. First he takes what we felt was the top franchise QB in the draft then comes back and takes the top franchise DE. It's like Dwight Freeney in his prime landed right in their lap, he's going to get to the QB and I can see him as a DROY candidate
.
1.21- CB Dre Kirkpatrick
Kirkpatrick was the 4th rated corner on our board, I really liked his 6'2" frame. I don't think Bill gave his PW but I like his attributes pre PW which is all I can go on right now, His AWR is very nice starting off, his CTH and TAK is very good also but the 2 big areas of concern are obviously ACC and does his SPD skew up, stay the same or go down?
1.22- OLB Bobby Wagner
I thought Bobby Wagner was as good if not better than many of the OLB that were selected before him. I'm not talking about what was given up to get him but the player himself is awesome, SPD demon with freakish STR, with good TAK, this was great value at the bottom of the first round.
1.25- DT Derek Wolfe
I'm not sure the exact skew of Wolfe but I'm pretty sure Bryan said his SPD skewed upwards, if that's the case then you're looking at a studly 3-4 DE which I know Bryan really likes to run and has great success with so I have no doubt he'll put him in the best spot to make an immediate impact which makes this an excellent value pick at the end of the round.
