1.1- Houston Texans- CB Xavier Rhodes- Florida State
It appears Wade has set himself up to take the top CB in this draft Xavier Rhodes. At 6'2" 217 lbs, he has the ideal size that GM's covet not to mention 94 SPD, 64 AWR, 99 ACC, 90 JMP and 76 TAK, teamed with Patrick Peterson will form a dynamic duo in the Texans secondary.
1.2- Tennessee Titans- DE Dion Jordan- Oregon
Jordan to me is the best prospect in this draft class, there are some really talented players but I believe Jordan is elite even if he skews down a bit. At 6'6" 248 lbs. Jordan doesn't have ideal weight but is an elite athlete with brute STR and tremendous football IQ. I think he'll be a Pro Bowler right out of the gate.
1.3- Miami Dolphins- WR Justin Hunter- Tennessee
Hunter is going to be an absolute stud once he develops that abysmal CTH. He's a 6'4" freak of nature that relies on blazing speed to get past defenders. He'll have his share of wtf moments with that 63 CTH but he'll also have those holy shit moments and he's only 20 years young.
1.4- New Orleans Saints- OT Eric Fisher- Central Michigan
Fisher can play anywhere on the OL and at an elite level but I see him more as a RT for the Saints either taking over for Debrickishaw Ferguson this season or next. He's a big dude at 6'7" , 306 lbs. , he doesn't posses brute STR but makes up for it with elite athletic ability and some of the quickest feet we may have ever seen in the SFL and as an added bonus he already has above average run and pass blocking.
1.5- Tampa Bay Buccaneers- ILB Kevin Minter- LSU
I think Bryan fancies himself as more of a Bill Belichick type who prides himself with putting together great defenses and has always struck me as the type (maybe I'm wrong). Kevin Minter is at least above average or elite in all the major attributes, I'd like to see him a bit taller as he's only 6'0" but carries it well with his 246 lbs frame. 84 SPD, 85 STR, 90 ACC and 88 TAK are the highlights, most likely a DROY candidate.
1.6- Buffalo Bills- RB Eddie Lacy- Alabama
The Bills have Andre Woodson as the starting QB, establishing a run game is going to be crucial in his further development imo. Lacy is a brusiser at 5'11" 250 lbs., his 73 STR is adequate , he's quite athletic for a guy his size, also boasts 60 CTH. He's already an 88 CAR, 89 BTK prospect which makes him already above average in both those, huge bonus! Lacy will take a ton of pressure off a pass game that will not always be on point from game to game.
1.7- Kansas City Chiefs- TE Tyler Eifert- Notre Dame
Kansas City's new GM Shah Khan has some weapons to throw to but they say a TE is every QB's security blanket, if he's in elite company like Gary Barnidge, Gronk or Gresham to name a few then this would be an excellent landing spot for the 6'6" 250 lber, who can really take a top off the defense not only with his size but also with his athleticism, he's going to be a nightmare to try and cover. Solid first pick by the new guy!
1.8- San Diego Chargers- CB DeMarcus Milliner- Alabama
Will has done a solid job with the secondary but the only future there is Stephon Gilmore. Milliner is another tall CB 6'1" with athleticism through the roof, a shutdown corner who can tackle with the best of them.
1.9- Indianapolis Colts- WR DeAndre Hopkins- Clemson
The Colts GM Darryl Breckheimer may fan boy out and go Thielen here who looks solid but I think Hopkins is the all around better prospect with at least 8+ AWR would be a huge difference. The Colts don't have any glaring needs so adding another top notch receiver would only make Carr's life that much easier. he boasts great size at 6'2" 214 lbs, he's an absolute speed demon at 96 SPD, 97 ACC and his 82 CTH give him some tied for the best pair of hands in this class.
1.10- Philadelphia Eagles- OT D.J. Fluker- Alabama
The Eagles trade up to 1.10 which imo is too high for a DT so I'm going with OT D.J. Fluker here who seems to be Anthony's type of player. He's a mountain of a man at 6'5" 339 lbs, he's athletic enough and strong enough to anchor either OT spot. If they see Barksdale as a starting RT then he can start immediately on the left side or wait a season while spelling Terrell in some games.
1.11- Washington Redskins- WR Robert Woods- USC
It's tough to say where Robert Woods goes, his sheer athletic ability alone makes him a top 5 but most GM's prefer the 6'2"-6'5" WR because size matters even if it doesn't, it's imbedded in or brains. Regardless there is no denying Woods is a solid value here, blazing 96 SPD, 97 ACC, 82 CTH, only 20 years old and doubles as a KR.
1.12- St. Louis Rams- WR Cordarelle Patterson- Tennessee
GM Felipe Santos has inherited a older team, so getting younger at key positions will be crucial. If you want to win you need a QB, they have 1 and now feeding him weapons to throw to will only increase the chances of winning games. They have alot of work to do but Patterson is a great start, only 21 years young, 6'2", 216 lbs, 96 SPD, 98 ACC, 72 CTH, 84 JMP, what's not to like?
1.13- Denver Broncos- OT Menelik Watson- Florida State
Watson falls to the Donkeys who can start him anywhere along the OL that they desire and he can anchor it. He has some of the quickest feet in this class, he should no problems PAN players on swing or toss plays with his brute STR and to top it off he's already above average at both run and pass plays.
1.14- New York Jets- LE Sam Montgomery- LSU
The Jets have a glaring hole at LE where they traded away Larry English, is it as simple as moving over a RE to LE or does Kevin want to replace him with another stud in the making Sam Montgomery who has size, STR, athletic ability to get to the QB and RB.
1.15- Houston Texans- ILB Nico Johnson- Alabama
The Texans continue on defense, ILB seems like an area where they can upgrade and the 6'2"248 lbs with SPD, STR, AWR and TAK and to top it off he can go into coverage and be affective against top tight ends also, this is a great class for ILB.
1.16- New England Patriots- QB Matt Barkley- USC
It was the first time since being in this league that I heard Tom Brady and trade block in the same sentence (I don't count the time Bako had him up for trade). He's on the way out and the future is here in Matt Barkley. Barkley has the desirable size at 6'3" 223 lbs, a bazooka for an arm, great throwing accuracy, his AWR isn't ideal but it's the 2nd highest in this class and again is the easiest to work on through TC and in season progression.
1.17- St. Louis Rams- RB Latavius Murray- UCF
The Rams GM and Felipe Santos continues with the offense here and shores up the elephant in the room, Portis may be signed for several years but the reality is he's done after this season when regression pretty much destroys him but can still serve as a mentor either this year or next. Murray is a beast, a bruiser with SPD, power, unreal hands and almost elite CAR but needs to work on his BTK, as an added bonus if the Rams don't feel comfortable starting him FT then he would be a sick kick and punt returner.
1.18- Arizona Cardinals- SS Shawn Williams- Georgia
The past Cards GM's have all had stud safeties and Shawn Williams is exactly that. He hails at 6'1" 218 lbs, he is all sorts of freak athlete with 92 SPD, 98 ACC, 87 JMP, 73 TAK. I think he has pro bowl potential right off the bat and is a mini Sabby Piscitelli.
1.19- Jacksonville Jaguars- OT David Bakhtiari- Colorado
David is a bit light in the loafers at 6'4" 299 lbs he's undersized but if his STR improves or stays the same I think he can be a solid RT for the Jags who seem to have a need there. He's fast off the line with quick feet and burst to defenders add in the fact that he's an elite pass blocker to go along with his above average run blocking.
1.20- Oakland Raiders- FS Duron Harmon- Rutgers
I think I get mocked a FS in every mock draft no matter what team I'm with and to be honest it's not like Glover Quinn is an elite superstar. Harmon would come in right away and start along side of Barron and form a solid S tandem for at least the next 6 years.
1.21- New York Jets- WR Adam Thielen- Minnesota
Great value for the Jets here with Thielen, he gives them a solid option across from Greg Little or can play in the slot year 1 while he works on the poor AWR. Other than the poor AWR he's pretty solid in all the other major attributes, 6'2', 96 SPD, 96 ACC, 81 CTH, 87 JMP and to add extra value he's a top notch returner.
1.22- New York Jets- RB Montee Ball- Wisconsin
With RB Michael Turner in regression protocol Ball would be an excellent replacement as soon as next season. A speedster who can benefit from spelling Turner in year 1 but still progressing. He's a speedster with power, he's not much of a catcher out of the backfield but is better than Turner in that regard.
1.23- Seattle Seahawks- RB Le'Veon Bell- Michigan State
He's obviously 1 of my all time favorites in this draft class, he's got the size to be an every down back (6'1" 225 lbs). His 82 CTH makes him a lethal threat out of the backfield, already above average CAR. He may need a season of spelling 1 of the other running backs due to lack of BTK but either way I think he can be an all pro.
1.24- Baltimore Ravens- DT Johnathan Hankins- Ohio State
Jonathan Hankins is a monster in the middle, at 6'3" 320 lbs he can anchor that DL for the ravens immediately no problem, ideally I like the DT to have 90+ STR but if he's athletically gifted like Hankins appear to be then it makes up for it. Either way i think he'll be wreaking havoc on AFC North offensive lines for years to come.
1.25- Cincinnati Bengals- ILB Jonathan Bostic- Florida
I think Bostic is way too good to pass up this late in the draft, he is an absolute stud who has game changing SPD/ACC combo to go with his top notch STR. He can play in any defensive scheme, his tackling is off the charts who can play out of position if need be.
1.26- Indianapolis Colts- OT J.C. Tretter- Cornell
I think OL is all about preference, everyone likes a type and at 6'4" 3007 lbs. , undersized by my standards but makes up with it with 98 STR, amazing foot SPD 68, AGI 77 and ACC 82. He'll clearly need to work on his run blocking at the next level (74) but already an above average pass blocker (86) and could start at RT right away but probably won't but will be given spot starts throughout the season.
1.27- New Orleans Saints- CB Desmond Trufant- Washington
The Saints shore up the secondary with stud corner Trufant. He's the ideal size at 6'0" , he's got SPD, he's a ball hawk with the ability to contest for JMP balls, his tackling is also top notch and could start on the outside immediately or at NCB.
1.28- Atlanta Falcons- S Janoris Slaughter- Notre Dame
Slaughter not only has a bad ass name but he lives up to it also, he's a freakish athlete, who can contest for JMP passes and a tackling machine. He could start right away or sit for a year but has the skill set to be a top notch S in the SFL.
1.29- Minnesota Vikings- TE Dion Sims- Michigan State
Sims could be a stud and go much higher than this if Sims happens to skew higher. Right now he seems like a 6'5" security blanket for QB Culpepper. Green is 6'6" but doesn't have near the athletic ability of Sims who can CTH and block, an all around solid overall player.
1.30- Carolina Panthers- OT Ricky Wagner- Wisconsin
Wagner seems like a solid fit for the Cats, his 6'6" 308 lbs frame will allow him the move right into the tackle spot and be a decade long starter. he has unreal STR to go along with underrated athletic ability, also excellent blocking skills.
1.31- Dallas Cowboys- CB Darius Slay- Mississippi State
After seeing the Boys land QB Matthew Stafford it doesn't make much sense for them to bury a rookie QB behind him. Slay would be a solid get for the Boys who clearly showed displeasure to the secondary. He's 6'0" which most GM's covet, plenty of SPD 92, ACC 95, JMP 95 and TAK 68. Like all rookies he'll need to work on his football IQ but a solid start for GM Anthony Fernandez
1.32- Dallas Cowboys- DT Sylvester Williams- North Carolina
I had WR as an option here but after looking things over I think a big ole' nasty interior defensive lineman makes way more sense and Williams looks like a disruptor in the middle. Super quick off the snap with excellent burst getting to the QB and runners in the backfield, if his STR improves or stays the same he may not make it this far but in this mock he shores up a spot next to Hanesworth.
