2013 1st round steals
By Brad Barber

It was another excellent draft filled with drama and excitement, I feel like everyone bettered their team last night (Yes even me). Here are some players that I thought were great value picks in my own opinions, if your opinion differs from mine or maybe I missed someone feel free to list him here or write your own! Mind you I haven't done any PW's but am looking at what was listed in the 2013 SFL draft forum on discord for pointers also.

1.2- DE Dion Jordan- Tennessee Titans- GM Apolo Shapiro
When Apolo adds to this man he will look something like this year 2... 85 SPD, STR 88, AGI 87, ACC 87, I think he's an immediate Pro Bowler, already counting him in as RDPOY and possibly DPOY. Getting the best prospect in this draft class even at 1.2 is exceptional value. If you don't have pressure on the QB it doesn't matter how many corners you draft and he will be wreaking havoc on the league but luckily more the AFC South than anyone else. This move will also allow CB Casey Hayward to make the most of his ability even if Jordan is only getting pressures and rushing throws it should be huge for Hayward and Williams in the secondary.

1.10- OT Eric Fisher- Philadelphia Eagles- GM Anthony Cepparulo
By this time next year Fisher will be a 70 SPD, 91 STR, 62 AWR, 80 AGI, 86 ACC, 90 PBK, 87 RBK OT in the league, do you know how many of his type exist in the SFL? 0, he is a 1 of a kind bookend OT. I'm mind blown how this guy fell to 1.10, to top it off he's 6'7" and maybe the only knock would be that he's only 306 lbs. but I can't even say it matters in the slightest. This might be the biggest steal of the draft class imo and great job getting him Anthony I know you must have been sweating bullets waiting for him to fall.

1.11- WR Robert Woods- Washington Redskins- GM Bill Ryan
Robert Woods can top out at 99 SPD, 99 AGI and 99 ACC, to top it off he's already at 64 AWR and his CTH is 80 I mean that's unreal value outside of the top 10. I'd start this dude right away as a WR 2 alongside of Lyman or Barden and you have an unreal deep threat for Palmer to throw to. He was 1 of my favorite prospects in this class, if he were Justin Hunters height he may have went top 5 but we're fixated on it sometimes where other GM's benefit from it.

1.12- SS Shawn Williams- St. Louis Rams- GM Felipe Santos
It takes alot for a rookie GM to impress me but damn this was an unreal pick, S position has to be elite for me to even consider 1 in the first round let alone top 15 but Williams is a game changer. He can close out at 96 SPD, 99 AGI, 99 ACC, he is a 1 of a kind, a top notch CB playing at S. I really hope you write some articles and get this dudes attributes up right away, I have been under the impression that you can get away with mediocre S but when you have an elite S it can be a huge boost to the secondary and it doesn't get more elite than Williams, great pick Felipe.

1.16- DE Ezekiel Anzah- New York Giants- GM Romeo Mendez
I know 1 GM called this the worst pick (William Cook) but I think he was still in shock from seeing Bryan Mellons half naked body in front of him. He can top off at 89 SPD, 80 STR, 80 AGI and 88 ACC, that is unreal value at 1.16 in my eyes, the AGI seems a little low but I'm not sure that attribute has anything to do with the success of a DE 1 way or another. Good on Romeo to identify such a talent and go up and grab him, I can say that now that I'm in a different division Laughing .

1.19- ILB Kevin Minter- Jacksonville Jaguars- GM Olivier Ratajczak
This is no diss to the ILB's taken before Minter and to be fair I didn't get Minter's or Bostic's PW but I did get Nico Johnsons and he looks solid. That being said I had Minter as my #1 ILB in this class so for the Jags to land him at 19 was great value imo. The position is watered down but value is still there, I also don't find height to be a factor at all for the position as a good example is the Falcons ILB at 5'10" who is ultra productive plus I've seen plenty other smallish ILB thrive as well. If his SPD skews down it might be a different story but as is I think this is a great pickup for the Jags but I think anyone who lands 1 of these guys gets an excellent all around prospect.

1.23- RB Eddie Lacy- Seattle Seahawks- GM Rock Hewko
I'm wondering what I'm missing here... Lacy tops out at 93 SPD, 76 STR, 92 AGI, 96 ACC to go along with almost elite CAR 88 and solid BTK 83, oh and the guy is 5'11" 250 lbs. good lord this guy is going to be a bitch to bring down. When I saw Lacy falling I just assumed he really got skewed I mean screwed but that wasn't the case at all, I see a nightmare on 2 legs for the rest of the NFC West, solid pickup again Rock, usually a big fan of his drafts and this 1 is no different.

1.32- WR Adam Thielen- Dallas Cowboys- GM Anthony Fernandez
First off you know if I'm putting the Cowboys on this list for any reasoning then the player has to be legit because just looking at that big blue star makes me physically ill, just gross all around. But totally giving credit where it's due here, I like this addition by the Boys X1000, for as much as AI love the Robert Woods pick I find it absolutely amazing in a league where all GM's crave size and SPD that Thielen falls to 32, it's just baffling. he's 6'2" and can top out at 99 SPD, 99 AGI and 98 ACC, did the 98 ACC bum some GM's out? His AWR even went up and 79 CTH isn't terrible to start off with at all, I agree with Anthony when he says he should look back at this draft and I think Thielen will be a huge part of the reason why, kudos to you sir!
