Any player that sustains an injury may be placed on Injured Reserve.
Once you do this, it simply means that the players salary will not count against the current salary cap. Once a player is placed on IR, he becomes ineligible for selection for the remainder of the regular season and the entire playoffs.
While a player is on Injured Reserve, he still counts towards your 55 man roster max. |
