Once all offseason free agency periods are over, teams will have the opportunity to sign one final player to a minimum contract. This signing may be used at anytime forward, up until the Super Bowl. This is detailed below and handled in a dedicated forum.

You can:
1. Sign one player
2. Restructure the contract
3. Resign the player at seasons end
4. Trade the player
This will be handled in draft order of the current year.
Process:
Before the start of the regular season, there will be a deadline for Veteran Minimum signings. This will be based on the draft order from the off-season (1.01 team gets 1st pick for Vet Min, etc.). Each team will create a thread in the appropriate forum with a list of the players they want to select. If the players are not available or they do not create a thread, they will pass.
Once we progress to the regular season, Veteran Minimum signings must be handled in the forums. It is also on a First Come, First Serve basis. The Veteran Minimum order will no longer be utilized as all teams had an opportunity to sign a player during the initial phase.
A team offering a normal salary to a player will trump the Vet Minimum contract. Do not submit a contract on-site for any Vet Minimum signings, just the forums. |
