In a surprise move the Redskins broke off contract talks with John Owens, shortly there after a team press release claimed excessive demands from his agent were to blame. Inside sources report GM Bryan Mellon said "I'd sooner pay that much to see a squirl eat nuts off of Steve Spurrier's ass! John Owens is done here."
