Jets Jets and Carey Clayton Part Ways

 In a salary cap move, C Carey Clayton was cut by the Jets today after 6 years in the league.

A statement from the GM Kevin Mullendore read, "He's just too old to compete at a high level. This move was necessary."

Coach Herman Edwards was not available for comment.
