Saints "Release Me" Waine Bacon Wanted Out of New Orleans

 In a salary cap move, CB Waine Bacon was cut by the Saints today after 5 years in the league.

A statement from the GM Nathan Jones read, "He's just too old to compete at a high level. This move was necessary."

Coach Jim Haslett was not available for comment.
