Raiders "Release Me" Barry Sims Wanted Out of Oakland

 In a salary cap move, RT Barry Sims was cut by the Raiders today after 11 years in the league.

A statement from the GM Garth Pearce read, "He's just too old to compete at a high level. This move was necessary."

Coach Bill Callahan was not available for comment.
