Lions "Release Me" John Henderson Wanted Out of Detroit

 In a salary cap move, DT John Henderson was cut by the Lions today after 12 years in the league.

A statement from the GM Justin Herr read, "He's just too old to compete at a high level. This move was necessary."

Coach Marty Mornhinweg was not available for comment.
