Buccaneers "Release Me" Ricardo Mathews Wanted Out of Tampa Bay

 In a salary cap move, RE Ricardo Mathews was cut by the Buccaneers today after 4 years in the league.

A statement from the GM Bryan Mellon read, "He's just too old to compete at a high level. This move was necessary."

Coach Paul Criswell was not available for comment.
