In a surprise move the Chiefs broke off contract talks with Matt Leinart, shortly there after a team press release claimed excessive demands from his agent were to blame. Inside sources report GM Rodany Mendez said "I'd sooner pay that much to see a squirl eat nuts off of Herman Edwards's ass! Matt Leinart is done here."
