Bears "Release Me" Stevie Johnson Wanted Out of Chicago

 In a salary cap move, WR Stevie Johnson was cut by the Bears today after 9 years in the league.

A statement from the GM Brent Lachapelle read, "He's just too old to compete at a high level. This move was necessary."

Coach Lovie Smith was not available for comment.
