Jets "Release Me" Nick Ferguson Wanted Out of New York

 In a salary cap move, SS Nick Ferguson was cut by the Jets today after 7 years in the league.

A statement from the GM Kevin Mullendore read, "He's just too old to compete at a high level. This move was necessary."

Coach Herman Edwards was not available for comment.
