49ers "Release Me" Bill LaFleur Wanted Out of San Francisco

 In a salary cap move, P Bill LaFleur was cut by the 49ers today after 1 years in the league.

A statement from the GM Peter Fenger read, "He's just too old to compete at a high level. This move was necessary."

Coach Steve Mariucci was not available for comment.
